Actually what was innaccurate was obviuosly that scouting report, considering he has not been a pass-first PG at all in the league, which is what the debate is about. Not which one was better in college.
I don't understand how Knight has demonstrated being a pass-first point any more than Kemba has. Both Knight and Kemba have spent almost all their time in two point guard offenses (Stuckey for Knight and Augustin/Sessions for Kemba). Kemba was a better passer last year despite playing less minutes, although I would say Knight was overall better due to being a more effecient scorer (but still below average). And now this year, Kemba is significantly outplaying Knight in general.
Nothing either has shown has given them an "advantage" of developing into a pass-first point.
I don't spend time watching CHA play, so I haven't seen him much this year, but the times I have seen him, he didn't look any more pass-first this year then any other time I've seen him, when he reminded me of Bynum, which he still does.
I have watched Knight play every game this year though, and he clearly has been a pass-first PG this year. So thats what I'm basing my opinion on.
If you want to look at stats. Kemba takes 16 FGA/gm and avg 5 asts. Knight takes 11 FGA/gm and avg 7 asts. I'm not sure what you are basing your opinion on, but it can't be the stats, as they clearly show Knight being more pass-first.
Looking at the stats of both this year, I don't see at all how he is "significantly outplaying Knight in general". He's got advantages in a couple areas, and Knight has advantages in a couple areas, because they have different games. Kemba being a shoot-first PG, and Knight being more pass-first. idk how you can look at Knight avg 7 asts and only taking 11 FGA's a game and not say he's showing the ability to be a pass-first PG. Forget the stats, just watch him play this year and he clearly is playing pass-first basketball. You hate him so much its preventing you from seeing it maybe.
