Damon v. Ichiro...Does anyone agree with this???

Grandson but yeah. You have to understand, Damon hits in front of Jeter and sees better pitches to hit, his power numbers are also helped out by the fact that hes in Yankee Stadium. someone could have 30 bloop hits in a season and someone can have 30 lineouts that were smoked. Who would you say is a better player? Give me the guy who had the 30 lineouts any day over the player who had 30 bloop singles.

I would take Ichiro over Damon 100 times out of 100. I don't think that was the issue. Stats/observations/common sense...take your pick; all suggest Ichiro is the more valuable player.

Or that guy was 1-4 with 4 hard hit balls, the last one in the 8th inning that delivered the game winning RBI in a 4-3 win

And using that as a basis for an argument would support you for all of the two minutes it'd take for someone to point out similar stats tied to better/worse players.

All i'm saying is that I don't really need stats to say who's a better player. Jeter is better than Tejada...doesn't mean TEjada is no good. Chase Utley is a better second basemen than Robby Cano. I would take Arod over any third basemen in the league. I don't and shouldn't need stats to back up my arguements. These guys are better players than the other guys I listed. It doesn't mean they aren't good.
