Pekovic kills the deal. Williams and Ridnour for Monte I might consider, even though not a big fan of Monte's game.

Monte would be terrible next to Rubio. We need a dude who can shoot and move well without the ball, not a ball dominant slasher/scorer

I declined it in my head when I saw us getting Monta. Do not want.
Then I saw what we were giving up. Seriously?!

Afflalo would be sick. Not sure how well he fits into our 2013-2014 budget considering the money he makes, but I'd even be willing to give up Shved for him. Afflalo is an excellent defender, can score if asked to and can shoot the 3 (40,4% 3PT). Reddick would also be excellent, perhaps even a better fit considering our lack of outside shooting, but I wouldn't be willing to give Shved for him.

How bad does Shved+Dwill for Afflalo sound? We ship Barea to another team and we've got ourselves a competent back-court.

What about Ridnour/Cunningham/Williams for Afflalo/Baby (aka Davis)

Shores up the PF spot in case of Love injury, with a small-ball of Baby/Love/Kirilenko in stretches.

I would rather give up Amundson than Cunningham, but I think Orlando has the leverage to demand better filler.

I would do that if we got a draft pick back from Orlando. They have Sixers and Nuggs picks, so i would want one of those.

Pekovic is a deal breaker.

People on here bashing Monta should really think twice about what they say, though. Our starting backcourt produced exactly 2 (in words TWO!!!) points against Golden State while the Monta-lead Bucks sit at a comfortable 7 wins and 5 losses while having a more difficult schedule so far.

I prefer Afflalo as well but Monta would certainly not be the worst option to trade for.

This is getting off topic but I would not include Shved. Williams plus their choice of Ridnour or Barea would be my offer. If they want more, throw in the MEM pick (we suck at drafting anyway). Budinger primarily should be the backup 3 anyway.

Rubio/ Ridnour or Barea / Shved
Afflalo / Shved / Budinger
Kirilenko / Budinger

That's much better.

If we get Afflalo I'm afraid there won't be enough minutes for him and Shved at SG long term. Plus We have Bud who also needs minutes at both SG & SF

I personally think Ellis would be a good fit, and I have wanted him for a few years now (if it meant shipping Beasley out, which is obviously no longer an issue). But not at the expense of Pek.

Agree. No dealing Pek. But while not the ideal fit, Monta is still a huge upgrade.

Shved can backup the PG spot, though. Get rid of Williams, Barea and Ridnour and there are a good 25 minutes a piece for Bud and Shved.

Rubio / Shved
Afflalo / Shved / Budinger
Kirilenko / Budinger

i'd want ellis if he didn't start. he's more suited guarding the opposing team’s second unit so he’s not so much of a liability on the defensive end. he’d be an effective spark off the bench, but i’ve read he's not too keen on the idea.

it’s a moot point since we value ekovic higher anyway. my counter offer would not be much better because there are just certain guys i will not trade for ellis.

I like Monta for our team. We obviously need another scorer to compliment Love/Pek down low. Ellis has flaws but he can sure score the ball. Playing under a good coach in Adelman could help him to play some of his best ball in his career. He was an excellent role player back in the days of those good GSW teams with Baron Davis/Stephen Jackson.
