CJ Watson is upgrade from Blake.

Televoic was top scorer in Europe with range.

and Lopez can be flipped to a third team.

3 team Trade for Josh Smith

Post#143 » by thegamefritz » Tue Nov 27, 2012 4:40 pm

3 team Trade For Josh Smith:

Lakers get:
1. Josh Smith
2. Kyle Korver

Hawks get:
1. Alexey Shved (tradable on 12/15/12)
2. Derick Williams
3. Devin Ebanks
4. Fillers (pick/s)

TWolves:
1. Gasol

Hawks will do this trade because they are on rebuilding mode and they'll get a young promising player by Alexey Shved! Devin Ebanks will also have a chance to show his skills.
Twolves would do it and give up Shved because they'll have a Legit C to pair w/ KLove and they have AK47 on the wing or at SF
Lakers- why won't they do it?

no thanks to Josh Smith. He will need the max which in no way we should give it to him and 2 he's a worse fit for D'Antoni's system than Pau since he's a worse mid range shooter than Pau is. He's also a terrible decision maker with low bball IQ and I sure don't want to pair him up with Metta on the same lineup. that's just asking for disaster.

yEAH, BUT jSmoove can run, he is very athletic, can cut hard and most of all can defend!!! if he'll ask for max then we let him walk and offer that aloted money to other FA's..

That won't work. Even without Pau we'll be over the cap for next year, meaning no good FAs are coming here which effectively means we'd be giving up any chance of winning a title next year.

Lol wut?

Lakers will still have nash, kobe, and dwight howard. The rest of the team could be compiled of D-League players and still have a chance at winning a title what are you talking about?

Edit didn't realize you were talking about letting josh walk, But my point still stands...

so if we don't win with Josh or Pau on the roster this year I'm supposed to be confident we'll win without them next year when Nash and Kobe are both another year older?

The right trade is something where Philly gets Gasol, the Lakers get Millsap/Hawes/Wright, and the Jazz get value for Millsap.

Pau just complained about tendinitis with his knees and we just finished trading Bynum to them. I'm not sure Philly really wants to trade with us right now.

Their fans were heavily in favor of doing the deal.

Pau/Meeks for Ellis/Gooden?

We get a legit 6th man scorer off the bench,Gooden can be our backup center.

Their fans also suffer from delusions of grandeur.

If we did want to get perfect value for Gasol and send him to Philly, we should have included him in the Howard trade and demanded someone like Iguodola back, he's on last year of his contract and fits the age and athleticism part perfectly. Of course having both Gasol and Bynum on contract would push them towards cap concerns soon.

Don't know what's uglier, Gooden's game or his contract.

I thought about that, but Monta is cancer and gooden is a decent on his best day. We would be getting worst not better.

Playing around I came up with:

LA In: Millsap/Bell/Udrih
LA Out: Pau/Duhon

Utah in: Pau/Dalembert/THarris
Utah out: Millsap/Bell/AlJeff

Bucks in: AlJeff/Duhon
Bucks out: Dalembert/Udrih/THarris

LA get's Millsap and Bell who we're supposed to like, and a solid backup point in Udrih while shedding some salary. (all expiring).

Utah gets Pau and Dalembert to replace AlJeff and allow Kanter some time to develop plus a solid SF prospect in Harris, while not adding a lot of long term salary and avoiding buying out Bell. All of their outgoings were expiring anyway, and I don't think they had interest in retaining any of them.

Bucks get a legit C in AlJeff and a backup PG in Duhon without taking a long term salary hit. Obviously contingent on Jefferson being willing to re-sign there.

Don't see Utah even touching that.. They are looking to shed big men and get permiter talent not get older bigs.

Yeah, they might not. It was more of a thought than anything... But I think Pau is a better/more effective fit for their team than AlJeff and with Dalembert off the bench, they could be set. I also think Harris would be a good pickup for them.

Give us Brooks and get Duhon/Blake, you'll have a deal.
