He needs to be able to catch the ball and go up and make put back plays. That's something he hasn't been able to do consistently.

I have no doubt that he will get there, only increased playing time is going to increase his confidence in the paint. The kid is just 19 and still very raw, but I think we'll get him where needs to be. With Haywood only on a one-year deal, if we find ourselves firmly out of contention another team may make a deal for him. He's cheap, and a solid rebounder. If that happens we could see Biz starting and hopefully see a lot of progession in his game. I would like to open next season with Biz as the starter just to show we're getting further into our bright future.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

Haywood's deal is 3 years, and I believe by rule we have to keep him for at least a year after claiming him off amnesty waivers. I think the earliest we can trade him is draft day.

Higgins makes more than Taylor? That's disgusting.

Sounds like Taylor needs to meet Corey's agent.

I think Jeffery Taylor met Rod Higgins before.

Though the numbers on that source are unofficial, but assuming they're accurate that's just one more reason for Lil' Higs presence on this team to frustrate me. At least his isn't guaranteed beyond this year, but I don't see how you justify giving the undrafted scrub more money than the first pick of the second round (other than the whole spoiled child thing).

Corey was an undrafted free agent. What's your point?

Taylor's contract is a matter of rules and such. They're the most underpaid (if they play at all, lol) players in the league, everyone knows that.

Jay Crowder was picked three picks behind Jeff. He is making 600. Draymond was pick 35. He is making more than Corey, Jeff, and Jay. Golden State gave him 850. You were saying....

The team has the option to offer more and guarantee the whole contract.

Jeff accepted the rookie scale he could have refused.

Like I said, he might need a better agent.

Are you really complaining about paying someone 250k less than you might have had to??

Not complaining at all. Just gave a little friendly ribbing to Imcguire5 for his comment about Higgins making more than Taylor. Everything else was just commentary.

Oh, for some reason I didn't notice that lmcguire5 was the one who made the first comment, and thought you had said all of it

Look like Valanciunas will be working with Olajuwon over the Summer. That would do wonders for Biyombo

I'm guessing Valanciunas' agent is going to get a loan to front the bill on Olajuwon's pricey services, and make up for it when Val gets his hefty extension in another 2 years thanks to the improvement in his post offense.

Let's get Biyombo to catch a ball on a regular basis before he works with Olajuwon.

honestly Mullens would probably benefit from some Hakeem training. He's got a solid base to work from, fluid enough to execute. Just needs a few counters and some confidence. Maybe Hakeem could teach him some defense too

This to the 1000th degree. I didn't even think about it but it makes perfect sense.

There isn't a player in this league who couldn't benefit from Hakeem's tutelage.
