How so? Durant averaged 30.6 ppg on 55% FG in the finals on him while Lebron averaged 28.6 ppg on 47% FG in the finals on Durant.

You're perpetuating a myth. Durant killed it in the playoffs last year, and peaked against LeBron and the Heat whom he posted one of the most impressive scoring performances from a perimeter scorer we've seen in some time.

Durant had his chance to prove he was better than Bron, that was the finals. He was promptly bounced in 5 games and I never thought for a single moment "Wow Durant is outplaying Lebron". Lebron is clearly the superior talent and to be honest a pre-injury CP3 would be the 2nd best player in the league right now not Durant. The MVP race isn't a two man race, voters will look at records, teammates and who has a great story. A lot of players are having good seasons but no one is breaking away from the pack. Right now my MVP ballot looks like this

2. Melo
3. Bron
4. Duncan
5. CP3

LeBron made an early exit from the 09 playoffs, and certainly wasn't as impressive as Durant leading his team past the defending champion Mavericks, the Lakers, and the best team in the league(at that time) in the Spurs to reach the finals at the tender age of 23.
