The Knicks board. Land of short memories.
Does no one remember Ray did stuff like this in his first "Great Knicks run?"
Ray is a streaky shooter. He's got a very good first step, where I'd bet 90% of NBA PG"s can't stay in front of him, but most PG"s can't guard each other in the "post hand check era". But he's above average there. He's capable of heating up and being a very viable 2nd option, but not all the time. He's an average floor general, but very above average in running the P&R (gee, what do teh Knicks PF and C like to do...) He's clutch, most of the time, has a competitors heart and is average on defense. He's not a "vision" PG like a Kidd, or Rubio or Rondo now or currently, at the lower end of the scale, Lin, who may move up that chart. I've said before, he's a scoring PG but one who MOSTLY doesn't selfishly look for his own shot, but will. ALL PG's that are decent have to be a threat at least to be effective. Felton sort of splits the different between Marbury and Lin, to bring up a couple of polarizing Knick PG's, in terms of style of play.
You know what Felton would be if he was a more reliable shooter? Not a Knick. Cause someone would have offered him 8 to 10 million per year, especially if he didn't look like a tub of crap in Portland, which we know has something to do with the lockout.
complain all you want. Make up dozens of "Felton sucks, trade felton threads." this is who he is. He'll win games, compete and go through 10 game stretches where you tear out your hair. Stay tuned.
