I want this franchise to compete to win a championship and we need individuals in the front office who are set out to win, not just tickle fans with feel good end of the season runs, botched lottery picks, and squandering cap room.
I agree they did good by Mack and Temple has played well so far... but we still can't forget we need a new direction in the organization and that direction has to believe we can win. Belief is a powerful thing that sets the foundation for a franchise and unfortunately we haven't had anyone in this franchise believe we can win a title in about 30 years.
Winning 32 game keeps them in the lottery and winning breads winning. If you are in the lottery, you can get a top 3. If you don't, you make a deal using players or future picks.
If they can win in low 30s this year, then they were really a .500 without additional moves and health of Wall and Nene. We are talking about the additional moves that could get them into the .600 and higher range.
The cap penalties are going to start hitting harder and harder that that is pressure at the top. This team needs to win so it can get some of money that this big market has to offer. Then they can go over the cap as well.
Very very few team ever win anything with young players. Look at the top 6 teams in the league.
