The Boston Celtics are aggressively trying to trade Rajon Rondo, their fourth-leading scorer and one of the NBA's best point guards, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.
The Celtics find Rondo's personality to be too high-maintenance and his clashes with coach Doc Rivers remain an off-court distraction, sources told Broussard, and the front office is now actively pitching him to other teams. With the Celtics realizing they are no longer title contenders, they don't believe his point guard prowess is worth the headaches Rondo brings, sources say. And they do not want to build around him.

The Kings trade Salmons, Garcia, TRob, and IT for Rondo, Jeff Green, and Sullinger.
The Celts gets IT as replacement for Rondo, two mediocre vets (but one is expiring and the other one will expire next season), plus they get TRob - a hardworking emotional raw undersized no offense big man to pair with KG. I don't know why the Celtics would want TRob, but they do... because I said so. The Kings takes Green's bad contract off the Boston's hands and get Sullinger as a backup PF. The Kings may have to throw in Tyler Honeycutt to seal the deal. Why Honeycutt? I don't know exactly but there's always some young backup wing that gets tossed in as the person to seal the deal and that'd be Honeycutt. I have a lot of concern about paring two emotionally unstable players in Rondo and Cousins but when you get Rondo for such a laughable package you do it. Did I mention that IT is really, really underrated? A steal in the draft who will surely go top 5 if the draft is do over again. Yup, I have a lot of reservation about giving up IT but I guess he'll need to be included to entice Boston. The Celtics apparently really really like IT, I heard it from a friend of an aunt who lives in New Hampshire who travels to Boston occasionally.
