Naw Hoop it's definitely Ebanks. The rest of the stuff was said by the reporter.

These words here are from Ebanks, then the reporter put it more eloquently.....

"being a Laker isn’t as pretty as it seems from the outside and the dysfunction that you see on the floor is like that all over the team."

The fact that the reporter mentions Phil tells me it has to be one bench player from Phil's last days. The reporter puts the rest of what ever was said in his own wording. Think about it Hoop, you got a guy in his contract year not playing ? The guy knows his value is getting diminished.

Might be Kobe, though it pains me to say. He's the only one we know of who has leaked sensitive information in the past. Oh, well...I guess he had to given the context of the situation, but I'll give at least a small amount of creedence to your Ebanks theory. He is disgruntled.

haah wtf are you even a laker fan? arent you just some random kobe hater from the gb?

and this has been bothering me since i first saw it, but who the **** names themselves ClintonDemocrat on a **** basketball forum. thats like one of the douchiest things ive ever seen, ever.

What's that all about? I have to tell you, that makes me feel a bit sad because I thought I answered the question honestly and I do lean towards Ebanks, but I'll have to move forward.

I wasn't saying that Kobe snitched because we don't know for sure yet. I was just saying that it could be him as well as anyone. We know he's made a slip up (maybe an honest mistake) in the past when he didn't think that commenting about in-house matters would point back to him. He has improved this behavior in recent years, let's give him credit. At one time or another, he mistakenly made some emotionally charged comments about a teammate without realizing someone was pointing a cellphone at him; those comments hurt overall team chemistry.

As much as I love him as a player, Kobe reminds me of my other idol President Clinton in that he sometimes does things that are impulsive and they tarnish his reputation for trustworthiness. I am probably leaning towards Ebanks being that he's been in the dog house, but I wanted to answer the original question by giving an honest account of anyone on the team who has been accused of being a rat snitch by others. Unfortuantely, Shaq and various people on the Gen Board have accused him of being one. I don't believe he is, I just think he has said things that can be easily construed as such. Doing that intentionally is one thing, but being naive is another. You can't just argue that he's socially-awkward and/or aloof on the one hand and then turn around and pretend that he -intentionally- snitched on Shaq. Awkwardness and impulsiveness is what I think was behind those incidents.

you're using an instances that nearly a decade old as your premise? I think Kobe learned his lesson from leaking stuff from his trade demand debacle and the ship his arse out comment with Bynum.

I literally lol'd when Clinton said he liked Kobe when so many of his posts point to the contrary.

As a Magic fan it would not surprise me if it was Duhon. IIRC there were leaks from the Magic during the Dwightmare mess and it all pointed to Duhon being a snitch. Not sure if it was ever confirmed he was leaking it, but for some reason my tiny brain remembers Duhon being a rat.

Could be Duhon, I don't think it's Pau... Pau does interviews and answers specific questions. The paraphrased comment the reporter supposedly got from a player is much more vague than what Pau has been talking about...

I could see Duhon though, I just keep wondering about last season too... I always thought it was McBob, because soon after the leak started, he found himself on the bench.

So maybe they're unrelated.

It’s Devin Ebanks.

His agent (David Bauman) threatened that he wouldn’t re-sign if he wasn’t in the rotation. Mike Brown’s decision; but that’s the reason why Matt Barnes signed with the Clippers. Mike Brown was fired. His DUI. Ebanks found himself completely out of the rotation despite the fact that Artest and Bryant are the only small forwards on the roster.

Ebanks, sitting in Dwight's chair: Me: You don't look like Dwight. "No, I'm not Dwight. I'm invisible in this locker room." Good point

Despite what he says, Howard is the biggest cry baby not only on the team but in this league both on and off the court. He left Orlando because they weren't winning a championship (I guess, why else would he have left a great team in the sunshine state?) and now he's upset because he's not the best player on the team (which he was in Orlando). He's never even been a great offensive player which he seems to think, I mean he should not have plays run for him on a regular basis, he should just be doing what a guy like Deandre Jordan does and shut his whiny mouth. It's always something with this guy. Always some sort of drama.
