You need some basketball fundamentals books if you think that addressing our massive, gaping hole of rebounding and defense at the expense of a guy we got for Bad Porn and a 1st rd pick will make us worse. Kemba, Hendo (now with a 3 pt shot), Sessions, Taylor, and even Reggie Williams can all cover most of Gordon's production and they'll get much better looks and not have to rely on circus shots as much (Gordon's specialty) b/c defenses will actually have to guard the paint.
You know why the Nets can trade Humphries? Because he can't break past Reggie Evans and Andray Blatche in the depth chart. Evans has more toes than points scored in his career. And Blatche is such an incredible player the Wizards amnestied him... the WIZARDS!! Being amnestied by the Wizards is like not making the cut in the spelling bee contest where the other contestants are zoo animals. And Humphries is behind that crew in the Nets line up.
Yes we need better front court players but to tie up 12 million per year in a guy that can't push aside Reggie Evans and Blatche? You've got to be kidding me.
He's paid less than Gordon, we'd save money on this deal. Blatche would be a top PF in the league if he wasn't a knucklehead but Washington was knucklehead capital of the NBA and now Blatche has to cut his crap out or he'll be out of a job. The only reason Reggie Evans plays more is b/c he fits PJ Carlesimo's ideal mold for a PF. Your grasp of context is sorely lacking.
