The danger about playing the Pacers in the playoffs is that we might win and this gets PJ a long-term contract . Something i really don't want to see.

F**k no. PJ would probably have to get to the Finals to have any chance at keeping his job.

George and West aren't going to play like complete :censored: often, be careful what you wish for lol. Great win though.

No, Roy Hibbert does.

I excluded him for a reason lol. But Pacers also have a X-Factor coming up now with Granger back. Either he helps them or hurts them. Still not as confident as u about a Nets>Pacers in best of 7

Reports were eastern conference finals and that was during our hot streak.

Stefan Bondy ‏@NYDNInterNets
PJ Carlesimo will let certain players play through their mistakes. CJ Watson is not one of them.

Apparently, Reggie can play through his.

Scattered thoughts on the game since I wasn't here durign the game:

BS tweet from Bondy. Watson played terrible and Tyshawn played well. PJ was right to ride the hot hand.

Really ugly game but some things were encouraging. Brook was asked to do way too much and he still responded well. I don't think too many centers would be successful isolating against Hibbert that consistently. Wish we ran more pick and rolls and didn't give him the ball at the 3 pt line a couple times but he came through.

Gerald Wallace after calling out the team for the 18th time this season had a really good game. Hit a couple 3s. Looked like a leader on the floor. Defended pretty well. Rebounded. He actually got to the rim successfully a couple times. We get so bogged down on posting up Lopez, JJ and Deron but I wouldn't mind posting up Wallace occasionally. This is the type of game we need from him consistently. Not afraid to shoot. Really made a difference out there.

All I'll say about Reggie is this - his pick and roll defense was pretty good but sadly, this is the type of game that forces PJ to play him major minutes. Reggie's rebounding is wildly overrated. Chances are - Hump or Blatche grab those same defensive rebounds if they're on the floor. Pacers missed a ton, so he had a ton of rebounding opportunities. Brook lets him get them so he's going to get every uncontested board. The offensive rebounds are useful but they're a product of teams completely ignoring him on the offensive end. He's rarely properly boxed out because no one's guarding him.

Blatche is the only player I've seen get fatter as the season goes on. He did this in Washington too.

I still stand by the fact that we need to play Mirza at 4 a lot more. Crash too. We scored more than 20 a quarter once. We shot 38% from the field. That's not going to get it done. OFFENSE is the problem with this team. We stayed in this game because Indiana is terrible offensively. If we play any average offensive team tonight, we get blown out. We need to re-emphasize offense. We're doing ourselves no favors by playing Reggie Evans 43 minutes a game. 9 assists is not getting it done.

Just realized Paul George is just 22 years old. He is gonna be such a beast for years to come... Luckily he was quite shut down last night and we managed to do what i hoped would happen. Posted on the second page of this thread :) .

Got my ass kicked in Fanduel, at least I won a 50/50 split match to retain some cash. It figures the night that the Nets are poised to get their ass kicked, they actually bring it

I'm happiest about Tyshawn having a break out game. Maybe now idiot PJ will stop playing that bum watson over that kid.

Tyshawn was great last night and was huge for us in OT. While I don't expect him to play this way every night, he does brings something this team severely lacks, and that's speed and athleticism for his position. How many times have we seen a Net outrun the opposition and initiate a fast break on his own?

Here's hoping he gets some burn from here on out. Now we just need Toko to have his breakout game because his athleticism and ability to dunk in traffic is something we could also use.

Apparently, it was a must win game according to the Pacer fans on their bigger forum. They are so distraught over the loss, I wondered why until I saw we are 1 game behind them for 3rd in the East. They're scared of the Nets somehow.
