The most moving Joel does is lessen a lux tax burden, i.e. save Arison money. The likelihood that any pick we get back for him would develop into anyone who could give us more consistent minutes than Joel does already, is minimal. So its a bad basketbal move and its a bad financial move (ITO of capspace). The only reason to do it is if (a) you would be happy to make our team marginally worse to save Arison a little money, or (b) you have some weird grudge against Joel where you will literally feel better about life knowing that he's not on the Heat. Of course, I think that might actually be true of some of the posters on this board...

B is the majority of it. Especially for Gametime

Joel Anthony + Philly's 1st Rounder for tpe
Mike Miller amnestied

That clears 9 million off of the books, and about 27 million in repeater tax or whatever. Then sign Dalembert for the mini MLE and have him start, Bosh back to power forward, and we suddenly become a good rebounding team, with Birdman and Udonis off the bench.

Yeah, I could agree with this. Joel is pretty useless for a lot of other teams but he has some value to us, especially for 10-15 minutes a game of just destroying Pick and Rolls. Mike, on the other hand, has a skillset we could easily replace for far cheaper.

I've never wanted to punch someone in the face so badly. Really hoping to run into him at a game one day. I won't hesitate.

Can you believe having this guy asking for money on a team of players that sacrificed money to play together? I can't imagine that going well in the locker room.

I didn't want him on the team even before he said "no". Just like I didn't want Dampier.
F him.

I like the chemistry on this team. I don't think there's one player that I don't like (and that I didn't like before getting to the Heat).

So let Dalembert get paid by lottery teams and ruin their chemistry (what he's doing to the Bucks) and play lazy and disinterested for them. I prefer the Birdman, who's giving it all, all the time, and seems to have integrated very well with the rest of the team.

agreed this squad looks much more cohesive than last years and thats a scary thought. far cry from the first year when we had a bunch of players that didnt seem to fit with each other (bibby, arroyo, house, dampier, ilgauskas)

Props to every Heat fan who stepped up and professed their love for the current roster. Birdman was the missing piece to our team. Sure, if we could have every great player at every position, we'd all go for it, but this is not how life works under the CBA. We have guys who may not be great, but for their salary, they're about as good as you can get. Normally, guys getting paid below the MLE are not considered good players, but outside of the Big 3 and Mike Miller, we have a roster full of guys who get paid < MLE and are outplaying their salary. Also, they WANTED to be in Miami! How great is that? :D

The Milwaukee Bucks are interested in re-signing Samuel Dalembert.

Dalembert has gained the trust of interim coach Jim Boylan and will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Dalembert averaged 9.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per game during the month of February.

Still hope he wants to join us, the only decent Centers we have a shot at getting with the MiniMLE are Dalembert, Zaza Pachulia, Kaman and Mozgov. I would take Dally over any any of them in a second.

Why would the Bucks want him back? Shouldn't they focus on developing Henson along with Sanders? That could be a great frontcourt duo down the road

Lol bad franchises going to be bad. He surely won't re-sign their because he would rather a starters role, but it'll be funny how a stupid franchise will offer him 5-7m to be a backup after the new cba restrictions.

I'd definitely jump all over either Dalembert or even Timofey Mozgov for the mini-MLE.
Super Eagles GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
