I thought Lamb would get 15-20 minutes a night for OKC when they traded Harden away for him and Martin.
Well, most OKC fans didn't expect him to get that many. I personally thought he'd start by getting 5-8 minutes a game while Brooks worked to integrate him into the offense and the second unit. Then, by the All-Star break he'd be getting 12-15 a game. Instead, the second unit SF has been Thabo or Durant all year, when Brooks very easily could've played Lamb and Martin together the first 4-5 minutes of the 2nd quarter and even 4th quarters unless it's a tight game.
I know this sounds like really petty stuff for Bobcats fans, but that may be my biggest gripe with Brooks this season...not working to get Lamb and Perry Jones more minutes instead of playing Durant 39-40 minutes a night and Westbrook 36-38 a night. Lamb was abusing the D-League and has looked good almost every time he's gotten in during a blowout. One game, at Atlanta, Brooks gave Lamb meaningful minutes in the second quarter with the second unit, and he hit a 3 and another 2-point basket. That was back in December and he hasn't gotten a single meaningful minute again.
