And in terms of Marshon, he can be easily traded to a rebuilding team for cash or a draft pick. He still will be seen as a player with potential, he isn't that bad but he simply cannot preform on a team like this with a focus on winning as a 6th man.

Teams like Phoenix, Orlando, OKC, GSW, Charlotte would gladly take him for a late 1st round pick or cash.

no team is giving a first rounder for brooks. a 25-26 year old player with a low ceiling and tons of flaws isnt attractive. especially to a rebuilding team.

Bogdanovic would be a likely lottery pick in this years draft. Mirza is a 27 year old rookie.

I agree. But my point was....rewind a year a Mirza would have been a lottery pick as well. There is expectation and then there is reality. So..for now Bogdonvic represents "hope". That doesnt mean he is a lock to meet his expectations right?

Time will tell.

Thing with Teletovic is, he has never gotten a legit chance like Marshon. Marshon atleast started last season and had an expected 6th man role which he has not lived up too.

Mirza is being used horribly and at this point there really is no excuse. Bogdonvic can hopefully learn from Mirza's situation since he is thankfully staying for the next 3 years to help him adjust to the NBA.

I think both will excel next year if we are able to bring him over.

There is no way to know what to expect from Euro guys until they get here. Look at clips of MIrza in Europe. The guy looks like a superstar. We'll see what happens.

I'd prefer to see Mirza next year under a coaching staff that has an actual plan in place for him(and other players on this roster) before writing him off.

I look forward to the eurostash players coming over, we need more offensive help.

mirza had a 10 game stretch where he got consistent rotation minutes and looked terrble. 10 games where he was the 4 off the bench and got 11+ minutes in each game and averaged 16.8 mpg during that span.

he had his chance to make the most of that opportunity and earn more minutes or justify himself on the court and simply did not take advantage of it. he shot 39.9% from the field and played some really awful defense. Which is why the "mirza should start" thread has been a ghost town since then. not that some dont still want him to start, but its now justifiable that he doesnt.

Our biggest issues are defense. and mirza in his minutes made us worse defensively and looked lost at times. which is what i assume PJ and avery saw in practice and didnt like. his 5 man unit numbers didnt translate over big consistent minutes ot justify keeping him on the floor inspite of the defense. and his "great spacing" he provides didint have any positive impact to us offensively during that span.

As a reserve or bench player, in any sport, you have to always be ready to step in and take advantage when your number does get called. mirza didint. flat out. you can use whatever excuse you want, but the bottom line is he got 10 games to prove PJ wrong and at best played below avg basketball during that stretch.

one of the things you notive from those clips is that he is playing with the ball in his hands alot. he wont get that chance here on this team. not with some many guys who need the ball in their hands on both the first and second units
