I think basketball games and momentum can turn on a dime. If the Knicks hadn't let the last couple of minutes before halftime of Game 4 get out of hand (in the closing minute or two of the 2nd quarter), we'd have already wrapped up the series on a sweep.
If JR plays Game 4, there's reason to think Boston doesn't survive. But if Boston just has an exceptional shooting night tomorrow, let's say, then there's good reason to think this goes to a decisive Game 7 ... in which the Knicks have a lot of pressure on them.
Just how I think about these games -- they can go either way with a little unusual luck in either direction. Better team usually wins because the bad team has to get more breaks, but it's fairly precarious.
