Everyone is counting Amare Stoudemire out right now & its a shame. This guy proved to me this season that he can still dominate on the offensive end putting up 14 PPG in 23.5 MPG with a per 36 of 22 PPG. Everything seemed to be working for Amare after he came back until he went out again which hurt a lot. Now I know he's never going to live up to that contract, (He did his first year as a Knick that's for sure) .. but if we don't acquire another Star quality player to help Melo out I'm not gonna be panicking & thinking that we can't get better because we can while coming back with almost the same roster. If Amare is finally healthy next season & plays in at least 70+ games during the regular season the Knicks can easily duplicate this season & maybe do better depending on the rest of the roster. Not 1 year so far have Melo & Amare been at least somewhat healthy together to create that special bond on the floor, they have though been together on the same team building trust, etc. & are just waiting for that chance where they can show it in game action. If we resign JR, he'd be our 3rd option behind Melo & Amare which would be a much more suited role. In all honesty I think we were relying on JR way too much after seeing what he can do in spurts & the expectations were way too high & he was just not ready to deliver.
IMO Chandler needs to be moved more than Amare for a young big who can block shots & rebound.
2013/2014 , The Season of STAT & Melo is coming
