i think you can work with bargs i really do.
obviously you dont like him, but there is definitely a serious case to be made for why the knicks should go after him

I'd betcha you could could get him for free after he is amnestied, there is a reason why he's being shopped before july 1.

He's not a good player which is why I dont want him.

amare was offered last summer to teams, no 1 bothered either to try to trade for him either

Lol, at least 10 players picked after #24 will have a better career than Bargnani. 7ft SG's who can't do anything else but take a lot of shots are not a valuable commodity.

impossible.
a team under the cap will give him atleast 3 mil a year
he would be going to waivers
your basically getting him for free by trading him for novak and camby but okay

7 foot 2's aren't valuable?

Have you been watching Chris Bosh against the Pacers?

I'll take any Bargnani deal that involves Amare and Novak and nothing else from our side.

We didn't get knocked out against indy because of lacking a stretch 4.

Unless you think bargnani is gonna be our starting center Hibbert is not gonna be his matchup.

so would you rather a 7ft player to space the floor or a 6'2 player to space the floor putting our players in mismatches on defense

Not in this series he hasn't.

He's tall and can really shoot.

Not a particularly solid defender, but just the fact that he's big and somewhat gives guys pause around the rim.

If he can be had for nothing, I don't see why we don't do the deal that Rips proposed. His expiring could still be used next season just like Amare's.

You can get a really nice piece for 14-15 with those two contracts.

He's large. That's valuable on defense. Even if you're a stiff and Woody should be able to get at least a little out of him on the defensive end.

Dirk is garbage on D but he's still 7 feet tall.

 "Not particularly solid". He may very well be the worst defender in the league, no matter how tall he is he isn't giving anyone pause around the rim.

Also, the last 3 years he's shot 31, 30, and 34 percent from 3.

well if the knicks are gonna match the pacers up like this

Hibbert - Chandler
West - Melo
George - Shump
Stephenson - Felton
Hill - Prigioni

rather than this

Hibbert - Chandler
West - Bargnani
George - Shump
Stephenson - Melo
Hill - Felton

then yes

Good lord, we're comparing a guy shopoting 50% from the field at center who can hit a jumper with the best of them to a scrub?

Bosh is a threat thats why Hibbert goes out thereand he plays the 5.

bargnani will not even be Hibberts assignment.

if your relying on camby next year to defend and rebound you might as well try to get kevin willis out of retirement. camby was non-existent last season and was a terrible terrible signing and waste of assets by grunwald. we couldve gotten a much better $4 million player then him
