This is a blue and white city, might as well hop on the bandwagon so Drake can make a Blue & White remix of Black & Yellow.

But seriously, Huskies is way better then Raptors...or Pelicans...

Blue and white city? RMFE

My only real criticism, as a graphic designer, is minor and to do with the letterforms in "Huskies". I would clean up the curves slightly. I know what you are going for and I like the style of the lettering, I'd just simplify the paths and remove the ragged points and have smoother changes in stroke thickness. I like contrast in stroke thickness, it should just flow more naturally.

The design is very clean and those minor inconsistencies conflict with that.

Other than that, full speed ahead!

Oh yeah to the trained eye that script is sloppy as hell. It is simply hand-drawn, scanned and coloured in Photoshop, it's a sketch. I'm hoping a full re-draw in Illustrator and several hours tweaking should give me something a lot more balanced and polished.

I think he's thinking focus group it with fans first, refine it, and then submit it. It's all about the first impression with these things.

:jawdrop:

I'm seriously floored how good that looks...I've been one of the biggest opposed to the name Huskies but I love the clean and simple look to that jersey not to mention of course the beloved blue/white colour scheme.

In a perfect world I would like to swap out that Huskies brand back to Raptors and do some adaptation to a side profile of the Raptor instead but that's truly excellent work you did. It looks so nice that before I wouldn't even consider a name change but looking like that might make me think twice.

I think I'll regret not stating this but with your professional approach and ideas I do really hope you also give a Raptors re-design a go as well.

If you design a great Raptors one along with this Huskies one it will be fairly apparent which direction the team should go. That's a lot of work for free though, so I can understand why you're more interested just in this one for now.

It looks real good. I am just wondering what a raptor jersey, with dark purplish blue would look like if made simple like that.

Yup exactly.

With self motivated work like this I have a tendency to just leave it at this stage and move on to something else to distract myself. But I wanted to open up my early vision of a Huskies re-brand to the fans to get some feedback and input early before trying to really put together a fully polished branding package. I normally only seek input from quite a small no. of people so also thought with TL's words ringing in my ears to 'ask the fans what they want', this would be an interesting way to see how a design process works with hundreds of critics at every stage.

Hopefully it'll be fun.

It's scary how much the little things hurt your eyes when that's what you look at every day, all day. It's a great job for an early concept. The overall design of everything is very polished.

This is the first time I've really been inspired to change the team to Huskies. I've always envisioned that we'd end up with something like the T-Wolves look, which I've never been fan of.

I think you're right, it would be interesting to see a design solution for both the Huskies & Raptors re-brands which have gone through the same fan-driven process. Then you really could put it up to solid vote. So once I'm done with this one I'll think about giving the Raptors a proper go in a few weeks. I've done jerseys in the past but there hasn't been any real thought or branding focus behind them so it might be fun to really give it the time as I'm still on the fence about a Huskies name change myself. I just felt that if it was a possibility then it should be 'done right' and thought I could give it ago.

I honestly didn't even catch the reference, and I love that show. It's a timeless design, unlike our Barney logo which had a distinct 90s feel to it.

Hmmmmm...the home jersey I think would look nice but the away would look too much like the Kings for my liking. Personally I love this blue and white; just change it to the Raptors and appropriate logo. But I like the look of these jerseys.

They should stick with Raptors and just make the colour scheme white and blue.

Raptors can be blue.

No argument on your last part... but enough others caught it quickly.

(your avy reminds me so much of CJ Bollands "Sugar is Sweeter" video its almost borderline bothersome..in a good way)

Amazing work. I'm loving this design. I'm trying to find areas for improvement, but really can't think of anything.

Maybe just get rid of the scales on the neck of that husky on the first image, gives it a dragon sort of feel. I think clean lines and solid colours would make it pop a little more. Other than that kudos man, great work!

I can't get over the classic design....I love simplicity in sports jerseys.

It's the kind of look that survives time and gives the appearance of being a staple of the league.
