I wouldn't because I don't think Seraphin is worth anymore than the 26th pick and we could really use a shooter with that pick.

Under the terms of this particular trade above Washington has to throw in another contract to make it legal. I also don't think the Twolves or any other team trying to make a deal with Washington can do it without the Wizards insisting that the other team take on Veseley....IMO.
If Saunders insist on Seraphin with Veseley we would be taking on about 1 mil more of contract (minus Williams), plus an additional $500,000l with the swaps in picks.
1,963,600 (9th) vs. $3,444,400 (3rd) vs. losing 26th pick.
1.5 extra mil for the Twoves.
Not bad.

9 + Williams + Steimsma for 3 + Seraphin + Veseley. I'd do it.

KCP at 9 seems totally obvious.
Can anyone explain to me why McLemore is considered to be so good? I haven't watched him at all, and from what I read it seems like he could easily be a bust.

Nope. RT @paulmontesanti: Do any GMs/Scouts actually care about the bench press?

Flip said Zeller has more offensive game than saw at Indiana. Can face up and shoot well. Adamant he is a PF, not a C, in the NBA.Krapinsky wrote:That means 2 guys you can probably rule out at 9.
Don't be so sure. If you watch the interview he said that there are many times where he can play as the biggest guy on the floor if the other team goes to playing a PF at the 5.
And realistically, how many true 5s are there in the league anymore? Howard, Gasol, Hibbert, Lopez, Bogut, and Bynum are about the only true 5s that I wouldn't play him against, and all of those teams go smaller with their backups.
I thought that Flip sounded like he really liked Zeller. I think its between KCP and Zeller at 9 (outside chance: Muhammad) unless they trade up for Oladipo, and going with a project player at 26.

Howard Cosell wrote:Maybe.....
Washington Wizards trade their 1st Round Pick (3rd overall) + Veseley (3.4Mil) + Singleton (1.6MIl) + Seraphin (2.7Mil) to the Timberwolves
Minnesota Timberwolves trade their 1st Round Pick (9th overall) + 1st Round Pick (26th overall) + Derrick Williams (5.0Mil) + Ridnour (4.3Mil) to the Wizards.
Wizards take either Oladipo or Mclemore, whomever falls to them at 3rd, and we take Zeller or Len at #9+ for the Wizards. Maybe this is why Flip has been stating Zeller is a stretch 4 so profusely out in public (Wall wants a stretch 4). Wizards can put Williams at SF along with Zeller, or put Williams at the (tweener)PF with the rim protector Len. Throw in the 26th pick and I think we have a deal. We would balance out our roster with losing Ridnour and letting Stiemsma go as Seraphin would take his spot. Gelabale would also be let go and keep in mine Veseley and Singleton have only 1 more year left on their current contracts.
Wizards:
Wall - Beal - Williams - Zeller - Okafur (Len)
Timbewolves:
Rubio - Oladipo (Mclemore) - Buddinger -Love -Pek
Maybe?
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
