that is a flame of a post, Okay

1.) We have Meyers

2.) Maybe we didn't want those players for whatever reason.

3.) We could've wanted to stash a player to as an asset for future trades than pick someone who won't make our roster.

How is it a "flame of a post"?
1) I don't like placing all of our eggs in one basket

2) We need size. We need to take a risk and the 1st rd pick cap space argument doesn't make sense to me since a late 1st is only a little more than a cap hold

3) Does Tedovic strike you as someone who will ever come over? If you don't like the players available trade it for a future 2nd

4) If we make the playoffs next season we will not have a 1st so it will be another draft where we will be unlikely to draft a big worth developing. At some point we must address the need for a long term solution for our centerMainly because it asks so many questions about a 2nd rnd picks and a obvious question of why we are not trying to develop a young starting big.

I think we aren't putting all our egs in one basket cause we will be doing things in FA.

You can't always trade for a future second.

I am not a capologist so I'll take your word for that.

MEYERS LEONARD I am sorry we did not pick who you wanted as a young center. Don't worry they didn't pick mine either (Adams)

I don't see why we would want another project center when we already have one? Scratch that, two...withey has proved more than gobert as of right now btw. Who says withey can't be an elite defensive force in a couple years? We don't need scoring from the center position.

We still have the draft picks and can still trade them for someone else.

We still have $12mil in cap space for FA...

How do you know we do not like Marko? All we know is stats... Nothing more. Stats on a Barcelona team can be extremely misleading.

Are we REALLY complaining about a late 2nd round pick?

And $1.5mil for a first can be the difference for signing a game changer in FA.

Good question. Do the Celtics try and keep Rondo and hope he's a good soldier or will they ship him off?

You know, if Dallas gets Dwight instead of Houston, that may be a landing spot for Rondo. Maybe for another 2014 first rounder?

My friend was telling me about a rondo to mavs rumor but he said the celtics quickly shot it down. He would be great there i think though.

A lot has changed since for the Celtics in the past week though.

There are no talented young bigs in free agency. Talented young bigs are re-signed by their teams. What is available among bigs this year will be overpriced and not what we really need. Furthermore there will be a lot of other teams looking to sign bigs so we are not guaranteed any free agent big. What we needed was a bird in the hand(a drafted big) not two in the bush( free agents)

Chad Ford: Marko morodovic is a sleeper pick. Perfect "draft-and-stash" player.

Olshey said he only wanted 2 rookies out of this draft, but couldn't pass up the value of Whithey and accepted coming out with 3 of them. That means I doubt the Jerrett trade returns any actual player.

He traded away 2 future 2nds meaning he will prolly want to get a future 2nd to replace one of the one's he traded away.

Could we be dealing Jerrett and the Greek guy for a current NBA player? Or packaging their rights with Freeland to free up a roster spot and cap space?

We need more from the center position than we have now. We needed more last season when we had Hickson regularly putting up double doubles. Hickson is likely gone. We need to think not only of next season but the future. The best place to address those needs is in the draft and we did very little to address those except draft Withey

Yeah that would be ideal. The next few days should be interesting.

Maybe we can get Gobert? Oh, someone else did?

Maybe we can get Koufas? .... Him too????

Well.... It's not like we could have got them for a couple second rounders and cash...

Did you honestly believe Leonard would come in day one and be an Impact center? If yes...then you need to read up on Leonard... But then you say last year we needed more...but then you want Gobert, a 100% project?

We needed more from hickson defensively, not double doubles! He didn't want to play center, he had to. We lacked interior defense, toughness... Withey, a more polished, ready to play center than gobert.

Again, there is a TON left to unfold until late October, not point in complaining about a late second round pick...

I am just really confused. You want a high prospect center for the future and complain we didn't get one... When we have Leonard and withey.

You complain we needed more last year and someone that can come in next year and help... Yet we still have assets and $12mil in cap space... And FA hasn't started.

Gobert.... sucks to miss out on him, but he was a pretty massive project with a high bust potential.

Koufos on the other hand, I'm really surprised Portland could get something done there. I guess they may have really liked Arthur, but it's hard to imagine the Blazers couldn't have found something comparable to ship off to Denver.
