KG and pierce can both miss the season and the nets might still win 50. they won 49 last year with dwill injured most of the year and no pierce or KG. so, they dont really need to be healthy all year for the nets to pile up regular season wins.
KG needs to play 22-26 minutes and not suck as much as reggie evans
pierce needs to play 22-26 minutes and not suck as much as wallace
those arent lofty expectations.
also, can we stop comparing the knicks older players last year to the nets new older guys? because thats just a horrible comparison.
kidd was 40, he was a role player with dallas prior to the knick relegated to being a spot up shooter.
Pierce is 36, just posted a 19/6/5 seasons on some of the best effeciency/shooting in a long time
camby was 38, coming off one of his worst seasons as a 20 mpg specialist rebounder scoring 4 points a game.
KG is 37, coming off a 15/8/1.5 Season with a PER of 20 and an all-star apperance.
so its not like this is apple to apples here. The 'old guys' the nets got are guys who just carried their team to a playoff spot and posted legit starting player numbers. the knicks had 2 guys who were already on serious decline and where struggling just to be role players
