Apparently the Pelicans are going to make an offer sheet to Tyreke Evans. According to this website, this is how they could get it done:
Using numbers from ShamSports.com, the Pelicans have $61,356,465 in salary counting against the cap, which is expected to be set at $58.5 million. But they can reduce their salary commitments to $47,121,716 by renouncing free agents Al-Farouq Aminu ($3,749,602 of additional cap space), Xavier Henry ($3,201,370), Louis Amundson ($884,293) and Roger Mason ($884,293) and waiving players with partially unguaranteed contracts Robin Lopez ($4,619,761), Lance Thomas ($884,293), Darius Miller ($788,872), Brian Roberts ( $788,872) and Terrel Harris ( $884,293). However, if the Kings drop more than four of those players from their books, a cap hold of $490,180 (equal to the minimum salary) would be subtracted from their cap space for each additional player renounced or waived.
The second rumor is that they are also going after Iggy. For them to do that, theyd have to get rid of Eric Gordon. I want nothing to do with Gordon and his injury and whining history. But I bet we would be the perfect team that could coordinate a three way trade that results in the Pelicans getting no salary back, thereby opening cap room for them to sign Iggy.
