Hate to break it to you but we used up all our cap space.

Gerald Henderson $7,753,318
Josh McRoberts $4,075,500
Ben Gordon* $13,200,000
Cody Zeller $3,214,200
Ramon Sessions* $5,000,000
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist* $4,809,840
Bismack Biyombo* $3,049,920
Kemba Walker* $2,568,360
Brendan Haywood* $2,050,000
Big Al 13.6
Jeff Taylor* $788,872
With 9 players under contract and min cap holds we are currently sitting at $50647808. So if we renounced Hendo and McBob we could squeeze Mayo in but I hope we don't.

Give them a full season to gel and roll the dice in the playoffs against the Bulls or Pacers. It would be bittersweet to upset the Bulls before forking over our pick to them.
But if this 2014 draft is as good as people portray and we receive our POR and DET picks then we can walk away from the draft with 2 more solid young starters.
We have to peak at the right time though. MKG and Zeller have to come up big. At the very least they need to contribute as role players who do a lot of things right and very little wrong.

Don't forget guys that we have Ben Gordon. There are teams that might be willing to trade for him mid-year to either free up cap space for a 2014 free agent run or for tanking.
The team could also potentially address SG next year in the draft depending on how things work out.
Finally 2014 has some decent SG free agents.
The team might be better served taking the long view here rather than reaching for OJ.

Well I think while Mayo's greatest asset is 3pt shooting and the fact he brings spacing to the team I think he can do more than that. He knows how to handle the ball, create his own shot makes nifty passes. He averaged 4.5 assists. He can play both guard positions. I looked ahead to the next FA class and I don't see a realistic SG.
As far as the draft goes, we can address SG with the DET and POR picks. Even if we don't receive those picks we can still address it because their value rises if we don't receive them. It just means we move closer to those picks being unprotected.

I'm OK with Hendo coming back ... but it has got to be for a reasonable number if he isn't the answer to the team's starting SG for the next few years. To be a starter, and worth that contract, he simply must become a better volume 3 point shooter. It's just not going to work with MKG and Big Al any other way.

What does this mean for Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes?
Does it mean what I think it means?

It means Barnes will come off the bench. Good pick up for Warriors.
