Their team now:
PG: Walker/Sessions
SG: Henderson/Gordon
SF: MKG/Taylor
PF: Zeller/Biyambo
C: Jefferson/Haywood
They will be bad defensively and need a wing who can shoot. However, I have them above the Hawks & Magic now. Not sure this was the right move. I would have tanked one more year.

Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

I dunno, Raf. They're implementing a new coach's system, and with Jefferson they won't be great defensively. Jefferson does give them an inside presence, but I think they are a wing scorer away from being even in the 8th seed conversation. Any overpaid SGs out there that could be had for Tyrus+Gordon?

IDK what Boston is doing. I admire Ainge for thinking outside the box, but that team is going to be bad next season.

Ben Gordon isn't overpaid enough for you? (and Tyrus got cut loose according to Wiretap)

Assuming he does not, do you think the Lakers will S&T Howard?
The two destinations that seem to make sense to me would be Golden State or Houston.
Golden state would probably give up Bogut and Barnes or Thompson and Andris Biedrins. I don't see Howard wanting to go there without Curry there.
Houston would probably have to give up less since they don't need a S&T to acquire Howard. Lin and Osik for Howard and Nash could make a ton of sense for both sides. I think it would leave Houston with some room to make another acquisition or 2. For the Lakers the replacements keep them respectable, but make there long-term situation a little better. They also would get a 10+ million dollar TPE.

Just in time for a strong draft. Ainge is just getting his tanked started a little early.

Most of the Howard suitors are in position to acquire him outright without a S&T so LA has little leverage. I think a S&T only takes place if the acquiring team wants to save some money and LA would rather get something rather than nothing, but LA isn't going to get a premium value.
