I think they needed to get to the cap floor and this help them do that this year they're at $28M right now. They also get a back-up Center for a year before Gobert comes over...a little overloaded at SF although they could by out Jefferson I suppose. The interesting part is that when Utah are ready to compete in a couple years, GS will still be a good/great team if this helps get them Howard. Dunno if that's what you implied.
