We need an athletic Big Body that can defend from the 3 to the 5... Clark would have been nice.

Is it still possible for us to match Clark's deal so he can come back? Or has that boat already sailed?

It's sailed on my brother, the Lakers could match if it was just one year but the Cavs knew the Lakers cap situation and offered two years knowing the Lakers didn't want to go into the cap plans for next summer.
They agreed on a two-year, $9 million deal on Thursday with unrestricted free agent forward Earl Clark, a league source confirmed. They can't announce the signing until the moratorium ends on July 10.
The second year of the contract is a team option. It was first reported by The Sporting News.

There's no longer the power bangin centers that use to roam the west. And overall it's only two young solid centers with post game in the league that is Drew and Roy Hibbert. After that it's no one that can slow and wear down a team with consistant post ups.
So Pau at 33 is still going to be productive. I think this young generation of fans bang too damn much on age age age. Hell Kareem won a Finals MVP at 37 and was still pretty damn productive at 38 ans 39. So to me Pau at 33 can still produce if he can stay healthy for a few seasons.
We just have to find a special type of 4 man that can mesh with him. I'd to see if we can pry LaMarcus Aldridge from Portland.....he ain't happy up there and its a known fact. But I don't think Portland will budge.
