Can't say I like her hair, but oh well. Beggars can't be choosers.
Meanwhile, lots of heartbroken young fans in the Youtube comments. Poor things.

I hope the guy turns out to be a met positive, even of just as a backup 1/2. But for the sale of contrariness:
He hasn't shown much yet, certainly hasn't proven anything toward being a real ballet that has a place on the team for the long term. He certainly didn't show me much as a playmaker last year. Limited time of course, so maybe there's something there, but lets let's dial down the hyperbole be honest.
There's a reason guys like Lamb are selected in the second round, and the chances of them becoming impact players are very slim.
No hyperbole here honestly...
What's the percentage of Magic RealGM who believes in Lamb.....10%...Maybe?
Some of us who actually WATCH the players who are up & coming, gotta let some fans who aren't as invested informed.
Yea there are reasons guys like Lamb get drafted second round....they get OVERLOOKED on a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP team where he was a KEY PIECE & they look at the other young guns.
It's fine though.
No expectations here though....RealGM Magic barely knows who the guy is.

I agree!
Haters gonna Hate, Idiots gonna Idiot.
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

YES, You should have taken Iggy. He was an expiring. We could have EASILY traded him to a contender for picks and an expiring at the deadline OR he would have been expired, off the books and playing elsewhere (we may have even been able to sign and trade him if the team he wanted was over cap).
Instead of that, we are all standing here holding our crotch, praying that we can get rid of Afflalo and Harringtons salary that is on the books for three and two more years.
Iggy isn't/wasn't good enough to make us win, he was a much more valuable asset.

Look you guys, nobody is saying Henny sucks so far or has done a bad job, but to act as if there hasn't been a single misstep in his learning is just burying your head in the sand.
Harrington is a partial at 3.5 and 3.8 million, and Afflalo is making 7.75.
$7,750,000 - $7,750,000 - $7,937,500
$3,574,300 - $3,804,900
We took on:
+$11,324,300 '13-'14 offseason (right now)
+$11,554,900 '14-'15 next offseason
+ $7,937,500 '15-'16 offseason
This is cap space we gave away just to have Afflalo and a late 1st rounder. We gave away so potentially HUGE cap space that we should be ready to use in a year or two.
Why do we need the cap space this year? We still have plenty of flexibility with our assets.
We blocked it for MULTIPLE YEARS. You guys are extremely short sighted.
Having 11-12 million dollars of EXTRA cap space could be the difference in us being able to comfortably re-sign our guys like Tobias/Vucevic AND adding a premier FA, Instead of having to let one walk or only be able to re-sign them and then stand pat after that.
Afflalo and a late 1st is not worth all of this in any universe

Not tanking when u dont have the pieces only leads to mediocrity.

Were they offering iggy? You know the other half of that is that the team has to actually offer said player. It's not like going to Walmart with a shopping list where you buy what you want. Likely the nuggets wanted to try and retain iggy thus not wanting to trade him.MagicFan32 wrote:Neon1 wrote:Darth Magic wrote:

how often do contending teams give up anything of value at the deadline? at best you get 1 late first, no different than what we got out of denver, plus having the afflalo asset
