We essentially gave up nothing for a real good defender in LMAM. He's not an Iggy-level defender but he's pretty close to it when healthy.

This guy isn't a "James Johnson, Travis Outlaw" pick up. We seriously got a real solid glue guy that can defend and knows his role.

Yeah, he's not James Johnson, Johnson is more of an offensively minded player who wants to dazzle. Glue guy indeed. Next to Patterson he'll be a GREAT fit!

This guy has crazy length at small forward, terrific defender and can run the court. Good move by the Kings.

He is a fantastic defender. I mean, elite when healthy. He plays LeBron better than anyone I've ever seen.

He is an embarrassingly bad offensive player, but the D makes up for it. He also has had trouble staying healthy.

I hope to God you guys don't sign Ellis. You don't deserve it.

And I mean that in a nice way.

Good luck going forward.

A real role player, with a clear role which he acknowledges and flourishes in.

Wow. I thought those type of things were a myth!

Add to that myth he is considered a top 5 defender. Boom!

And much like Hayes or Tyson Chandler he's really a unique defender. First time I really had my mind blown on Luc was when I watched a Bucks game vs. the Knicks. I thought Luc was a good wing defender, maybe a little bulky for the spot but then I watched his ability defending a power face up big like Amare. He just made life hell for him. He had to work way too hard for what he was getting. He tried to overpower Luc, didn't work. Then he tried to go through him, didn't work. Then he tried to finesse him, didn't work. It's rare to find a player that can legitimately play good defense at both forward spots where he isn't overpowered at one or outquicked at the other.

That's why I'd hate to see this team move Chuck Hayes as well. You just can't find great post up defenders that can straight up guard the pick and roll too. It's usually one or the other in that scenario.

No, he's not solid defensively - he's GREAT. And can defend 4 positions.

Scared me for a second, reading the first part of your comment, haha. You tricky bastard! That's great to hear, thanks.

I love this trade. We did not have to give up much to get a good player that could start or come of the bench

Luc is actually some sort of prince in hs native Cameroon so ironic the Kings land a guy of royalty. Does a bit of work with the NBA as an ambassador and normally represented the Bucks too when it came to player reps etc so a smart, good character guy too.

Knee injury is a little bit of a worry, but some of his struggles with the Bucks were just as much about his heart not being in Milwaukee any more after we matched the Denver offer shot. When healthy / motivated is absolutely elite as a wing defender and can guard face up 4's just as well. Durant labeled him as the toughest guy he to score against a year or two ago. More of a 4 than a 3 but just depends on who he is on the court with.

He actually started hitting little mid rangers and 3's with a bit more regularity last season and gained more confidence in his stroke, with more work on it in the off-season he could mould into a semi-reliable spot up guy to knock down an open shot here or there but will never be a 'shooter'. Measured at the draft camp with about a 39 inch vert I believe but is not an above the rim type guy, goes strong when slashing to the hoop but can miss some easy shots around the basket every now and then. Solid rebounder and would always pluck an offensive board or two with a put back when he was at his best with us.

Luc is a nice pick-up, on a friendly contract for the D he brings and a nice trade for you guys for only two 2nd's. Congrats on keeping your team also, hope you can tase some more success soon.

Interesting. Thanks for the insight.

I love luc when he was healthy...im concerned about his injuries though...im hoping he gets back to his old self..cause ghose injuries he had could affect his speed and movement to keep up with opposing players... not bad pickup for 2nd rounders though and finally a sf acquisition...

I love this trade! LRMAM is the perfect player for the SF position for the team.

I think if he is heals up nicely then he will start, If we do not amnesty Salmons, there is always the possibility he will start (I hope not)

He has tendonitis right? The great thing about tendonitis is you can play through it. Hopefully rest will help as well.
