And then the best backup PG or big is going to be for the room exception.

With the Nuggets cooperation the Warriors would still have the MLE, their trade exceptions, and bird rights to sign and trade one of their guys that already agreed to another deal for other assets or trade exceptions.

So ya I can see why the Nuggets have no leverage.

Really are you talking about Jack coming back? Bc he's not going to take a reduced role. We'll kindly pass on the MLE. Myers isn't going to give up Green Fest to bring in Kaman, ONeal or any other scrubs

It is not about Jack coming back, it is about replacing him, do you think you will get an adequate replacement for $2.55 million a year? do you think you can get a replacement for Landry for $2.55 million? Do you think you can get a replacement for each one of them for $2.55 million and a minimum contract? Sure you can replace Beidrens for the minimum, but you have a team that is short 2 bigs and your only decent backup PG, where does the ability to replace those guys come from?

Despite the hype since he agreed to go to the warriors, Igoudala is not a superstar, he is also not a PG not to mention what happens when Curry is injured or just tired as he seems to be your only PG, and if you are planning on playing him or Barnes 25-30 MPG at PF when Bogut or Lee are injured than I would not expect any improvement from signing Igoudala.

Fact is doing a sign and trade for Iggy, gives them a Trade exception for around $9 million, a TPE for Rush for around $4 million, the ability to use the MLE, the ability to use the LLE, and the bird rights to both Jack and Landry (allowing the Warriors the chance to sign and trade one of them to their respective destinations). In other words they have several different options to go out and add additional players.

Or they can just sign Igoudala outright.

And they were right to tell the Warriors no on doing a sign and trade with the Warriors, taking back bad contracts even if they were expiring was going to do nothing for the Nuggets, fact is they still should not be doing it just to get Foye, I just laid out what a sign and trade opens up for the Warriors, that makes it something they really need, they should have given Foye the LLE and left it at that, or make the Warriors pay for the ability to finish building their team.

The more I think about things with Igoudala, especially with the rumors widely being reported on 1043 the fan that Igoudala was hanging out with the warriors including Mark Jackson and going to chapel throughout the playoffs with them, the more I am glad that he is gone. For all the talk about him wanting to win, hanging out with the team you are competing against in a playoff series is terrible.

Not surprised @Andre is going to GS, before GM 1, @dempseypost & I saw him go to pre-game "Chapel" w/ several Warriors & Mark Jackson

Religion does bond people and it is a community. Had I known that Iggy was going to services with Mark and opposing players then this would not have been surprising at all. The old school competitors before the age of Lebron would not do this... and it pisses me off that Iggy wants to pray with his opponent when he should be wanting to beat the crap out of them. Wait til after the series to pray or hang with your buds.

We were a good team before Iggy. We needed a low post option. We got a talented low post option (he is young and on a fair contract). Now we need an outside shooter... 3&D guy. While we aren't by any means the favorites to go to the finals... we have a talented young team here.

Religion is not a bad thing in my mind, it is so much better to go to church every day than to have guys like Aaron Hernandez. However you do not socialize with the opponent during a playoff series, I personally cannot believe this is not bigger news nationally. The media and fans could not wait to jump all over Green for being at the same bar as the Heat after the finals were over, but it is okay for a player to go to church every day with the other team?

yea, nothing against his beleifs at all, but being seen anywhere near your playoff opponent while the series is still happening is the opposite of cool. It just makes me think, well...of course he signed with them.

I think this isn't a story because one guy was at the club and the other was at church. I doubt even Woj wants to touch that story.

I have much less of a problem with what danny did because the series was over. The bigger offender was Iggy.

religion in sports is disgustingly laughable anyway.

as if a god gives a hoot who wins a basketball game. or who he 'blessed' with talent or health that year.

how many people are dying of hunger every day? have cancer, leukemia, no access to clean water?

i would hope he'd have bigger things to worry about than rooting for the golden state warriors and answering their prayers. and if he doesn't, then shame on him....and he should be begging forgiveness from us at the end of all this.

Oh you did not, not here or on the 76ers board. You just wanted another chance to say you can't stand him.

Could that be looked at as tampering at all? At the time he was still under contract with the Nuggets and hadn't formally turned down his last year. I would at least expect Stern to investigate something like that.
