And Kidd didn't have the jumpshot when he came in. He's got the foot speed, the coordination, athleticism to be a 4. He even has a solid spin move and sky hook. If he adds a face-up game and combine it with that athleticism and coordination, he'll be fine. And his short arms won't matter as much as a 4.

Oh that...so uh...you're taking what I said about a rookie PF who has yet to play a single game in the NBA in regards to his projection as a POWER FORWARD and development moving forward to a 7-8 year veteran who in that span has not shown any kind of attempt at extending his range to the 3pt line?
Are you Mr. Fantastic? Coz that's another REEEEAAACH.
A POWER FORWARD has completely different roles and positioning on the court as opposed to a Point Guard. That's just like me saying "Oh Livingston can't make an impact coz he can't block shots or rebound like Plumlee!"
Two totally different positions, two totally different roles, two totally different stages in career.
My point in comparing Plumlee to Kidd was that, if we pigeon hole him as a PF NOW, that he can start working on PF SKILLSETS. It has nothing to do with him being able to contribute right away this season, but more a long-term prognostication. That would have been like when Antawn Jamison and people were saying "Is he a 3 or a 4?" when he first came into the league, and you'd say whether he should start working on ball-handling/outside shooting to translate his game into a natural 3 or whether he should bulk up and get stronger to fit the role of a natural 4.
The discussion on Livingston however, was about what he can contribute THIS SEASON.
