I don't think that's accurate. He's an asset of the bucks and Brandon can likely be re-signed at fair market value. There's also a good chance he now sees what he has to do with his career in order to get the money he wants.

Sign Jennings and be done with the offseason.Tank.

I'm with you. Not enthusiastic about it, but it's coldly rational thinking. For the first two months of the season he was borderline all-star - at least in the land of punditry - and it's unwise to pitch that without anything coming back.

I'd actually be happy if we got him at the Teague offer. Please note: happiness is tied into the lowered expectations of the Kohl administration.

I'd offer him same contract we offered Teague, or the QO and explore trade opportunites ASAP.

Now that we missed out on Teague. There is no point to trade for young. He will only get us more victories.

Pacers fan here, and we can't sign almost anyone.

Our owner has repeatedly said we won't pay the luxury tax at all and we're only about 2 million under it.

Look what Philly got for holiday.. Sign BJ for 4/30, do everything we can to make him look good, and trade him at deadline or next offseason.

On principle alone I believe we should not capitulate to prima donnas who blame our small market for their lack of individual success. Therefore, I voted for letting him walk, if a sign and trade were still feasible, I'd obviously prefer that.

I've seen the rumor, but there's zero chance it happens. We would have to pay Jennings what? 12 million at least? 11? The Pacers have 50 million tied up in next years salary already. Grangers expiring contract is what will allow us to pay Paul George. When Paul George signs his extension or new contract however it happens, that'll put us in the 64 million range with roster spots still to fill. Any contract given to Jennings would easily put us in the luxury tax.

It can't happen unless we give away Hibbert, West or Paul George for cap space. Not even remotely worth it.

Rajon Rondo, Goran Dragic, Kyle Lowry, Reggie Jackson. All 4 better options than Jennings and all 4 potentially tradeable. I'd be doing my due diligence to acquire 1 of them for as little as possible and keep Jennings on the back burner for a S&T deal for a SF after we bring in our PG. Something around Ersan for Reggie Jackson would be my top choice.

In order:

S&T him.
Give him the QO and then trade him ASAP.
Sign him to a 4/24 deal. If he improves, great. If not, it's not a cap-crippling deal and someone might take him in a trade. Win-win.
Let him walk for nothing.

Where are you going to s&t him to? I cannot think of any team that has a need for him as their starting pg.

Yup.

There isn't a market out there for him.

Philly would definitely have no interest. I highly doubt Indy would want a player like Jennings given the personality of their team. In fact, I don't think they'd even consider him. Plus, they can't be wasting money with George's extension coming up.

No one wants Jennings. He, not surprisingly, has no market. The best he'll get is our QO unless we stupidly offer him more.

There is no reason not to offer him a QO. If somebody signs him to a offer sheet we'll cross that bridge when it comes.

People really need to get over this ridiculous hate, it makes Bucks fans look terrible

Voted to let him walk but I think they'll bring him back on the QO. He's an asset, IMO, off this team
