I think this is correct. I think Oden wants to play here but his people are doing everything they can to grt him the mml. I'm guessing Riley has offered more than the min, perhaps a 2 year starting at $2m, explaining the tax ramifications to Oden's people and telling them if they get a legit mml offer, to give the heat one last chance to consider using the full, hence the auditions. But now Riley is sick of waiting and is putting pressure on Oden to get nervous with this Camby threat and have oden push his people to take the deal on the table.

WD wrote:Heat Could Have $50M In Cap Space Next Offseason
The Miami Heat could have approximately $50 million in cap space next offseason.
LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all have opt-out clauses in their contracts, representing $61 million in salary for 14-15. All three could opt out to assure more guaranteed years at the maximum allowed under the CBA, but they also could structure their deals in a way that allows the Heat more flexibility.
The $50 million estimate assumes Haslem, Anthony and Andersen don't become free agency and the Heat pick up their option on Norris Cole's rookie contract.
James and Bosh figure to be recruited by other teams, but they could add a fourth big name player if they all take significantly less. Wade has already expressed a willingness to take the biggest pay cut to create cap space for teammates.
The cap holds for James, Bosh and Wade would be larger than their reduced salaries under that scenario.
