Whoever chose Horry has a chance to change their pick. Horry never was an all star.

What a jackass...oh well...
Trade is confirmed (assuming those picks are correct). Honestly, I'm a bit intoxicated right now so I'll update the picks to reflect the trade in the morning...off the next couple days. I'll send my list out...just in case I am OTC.

question about pimp thread lets say we want to discuss something that is put in pimp thread does that discussion go here or in that thread after everybody has finished their one pimp post?
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Re: BaTATAS 1.0: DISCUSSION THREAD - 3 HOUR CLOCK
Alright so I was in a rush while making my previous posts, I'll give a more complete defense of my boy K-Love now.
I can't even understand this.
You're not only twisting my point but you're using a selective use of evidence to try to make a point by bringing up Jones and Kapono, which weakens your argument, The 3-pt contest is a skill competition which means it allows players to prove they are extremely good at that particular skill. Winning the competition was a memorable showcase of Love's 3-pt ability. Of course not everybody who wins it is a great player, but it provided an example of an important NBA skill.
Okay, you're right that Harden has played in more games. It is however, worth noting that Harden played 29.7 mpg in those games while Love played 31.8 mpg, meaning Love technically has almost 300 more regular season minutes.
And yes, including playoffs Harden does have an advantage in NBA experience but its such a small advantage this it makes your reasoning for Love being a bad pick because he was injured last season look silly.
I've already stated why per 36 is a clown stat to use in this kind of competition, but I think it's funny that Love looks clearly better even when you do use it.
And you saying that Love's outstanding rebounding numbers are "just because he's a PF" is rediculous. His numbers are elite, well above the average for PFs and Cs. You can't just discount the stat because it's a stat that's usually achieved by big man. The point is, any stat like that is weighted into the total value of a player, and Love hains a lot of value from his rebounding. Harden is not particularly noteworthy in any skill but scoring, and that's where Love separates himself.[/quote]
Saying a higher TS% makes Harden in shooter is disingenuous, but yes, Harden has overall been more efficient.
Worth noting, however that:
1. Love has had to shoot more throughout his career, given his role. He hasn't been able to be as picky.
2. Harden had a better supporting cast around him.
3. A 4.6% higher TS% does not make up for the discrepancy in rebounding.
No, you didn't? Are you referring to the stats you posted in which Harden has slight higher assists and steals? Because those are hardly convincing arguments.
If only there was some kind of rating that calculates the total efficiently of a player, maybe that could solve this silly argument.
Oh wait, player efficiently ratings exist.
Career PER for Kevin Love: 22.1
Career PER for James Harden: 19.2
And that's even including the fact that Love had a terrible season because of injury.
oh so 1 more game is so much but when u look at the Minutes Played harden has 4 less minutes than love in 1 less game![]()
I can't even understand this.
oh and winning a 3 point shooting contest doesnt make you good. i mean James jones and Jason kapono both have wont it and they arent that great of players.

lets get some correct numbers here.
1) James Harden has played in 298 regular season games with 85 starts in 4 years. harden also adds 49 playoff games with 6 starts.
2) Kevin Love has played in 287 regular season games with 205 starts in 5 years.
Okay, you're right that Harden has played in more games. It is however, worth noting that Harden played 29.7 mpg in those games while Love played 31.8 mpg, meaning Love technically has almost 300 more regular season minutes.
And yes, including playoffs Harden does have an advantage in NBA experience but its such a small advantage this it makes your reasoning for Love being a bad pick because he was injured last season look silly.
lets look at the Per 36 seeing how the Thunder didnt play him the same mins love gets so its Apples to Apples not apples to oranges though its still kinda that way in terms of a SG to PF.
career Average for Harden: 19.6 points, 4.6 rebs, 4.1 assists, along with 1,5 steals.
Career Average for Love: 19.6 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2,2 assists, along with .7 steals.
the major difference here appears to be rebounding and thats purely off of Love being a PF and not a SG.
I've already stated why per 36 is a clown stat to use in this kind of competition, but I think it's funny that Love looks clearly better even when you do use it.

next we can go use Total Shooting Percentage for both careers to see who the better shooter is in career.
Harden: .603
Love: .557
Saying a higher TS% makes Harden in shooter is disingenuous, but yes, Harden has overall been more efficient.
Worth noting, however that:

like i said if u looked at the Other Stats i posted love doesnt anything else then Score Points and Rebound.
No, you didn't? Are you referring to the stats you posted in which Harden has slight higher assists and steals? Because those are hardly convincing arguments.
I debunked ur LOVE played more Games BS. i didnt even count post season and he has him beat. not in starts but in games overall.
i debunked ur love is a Better shooter with Total Shooting Percentage which Harden shoots 5% better than love.
you then say hes played in more All Star games but if u look at minutes combined with games Harden has played more minutes/Game. i wouldnt be all that shocked if Harden Passed Love in Minutes Played in all star game next year. you say hes good shooter and you back it up with he won the 3 point shooting contest well guess wat arguebly the best scorer MJ scored 5 points in that contest but does that make him a bad shooter. no it doesnt. 3 point contest dont Mean ****.

I am a little confused why you guys are spending so much time arguing your late selections why don't you guys focus on the stars and starters of your team that will be playing 34+ mins instead of one of your bench guys who might be lucky to get about 25 minutes played

Beats me, he was saying my pick was bad and I've just been explaining why it wasn't.

He has been very vocal this whole time and judging others teams harshly and unfairly while not even pointing a finger at his team I wouldn't bother with it honestly

Saw it was my turn, and then searched the front page 3 times to make sure Ricky Pierce hadn't been picked.
Then I posted my pick for him and realized he was literally taken before me.
I need some sleep.
