LMAO.
An Achilles injury is the worst injury he could have sustained at this point of his career, far worse than any sort of knee ligament tear. I think there was a study that showed that an overwhelming amount of older players that suffer an Achilles tear rarely make it back successfully. Sure, someone like Kobe, with his work ethic, could be the exception, but it doesn't look good for him based on history. He has by far the biggest injury question marks moving forward than anyone else on the board.
He's said to be 'shattering records' or something for recoveries from an Achilles. Probably partly Lakers PR but he was said to have had a new procedure done. Medical advancements make everything far worse than it used to be. Could someone please point me to a recent Achilles injury in a player? I don't know of many recent instances unless I'm for some reason just drawing a blank. Also, he's Kobe. 27-6-6 is plain unfair for someone his age, nobody expected that a few years ago. I think he has one more surprise in store.
But well see. I think he plays opening day though.
