“Despite all the efforts from the Spanish Basketball Federation and myself, I regret to inform you that I won’t be able to join up with the Spanish National Team as I wished and intended on doing. After a long run in the playoffs in 2012, the Olympic Games and this past season in the NBA, the medical staff at the Oklahoma City Thunder have recommended I rest this summer in order to be fit for the upcoming seasons in the NBA and future international championships which I hope to take part in with Spain.
Now I have a couple of months ahead in which I have to work hard to fully recover in order to be ready for next season. But above all I want to thank all the support and backing I’ve received in these difficult times for me from the Spanish Basketball Federation, especially the president José Luis Sáez, and the head coach Juan Antonio Orenga.
Although I won’t be on the court in Slovenia, all my teammates know that my heart and soul will be with them. Good luck Spain!!
All the best,”

Skjöldebrand and Pita are trying as well. They seem like interesting players that deserve some more PT.

Yeah, Sköljdebrand I agree with. He's been bothered by injuries leading up to the tournament so that's why he's playing limited minutes.

There is one thing about Sweden that I cannot understand, though. You have a tall team. You should be able to win your share of rebounding battles especially against a small team like Finland. But that isn't the case today. The Finns are winning the rebounding battle and their bigs have completely dominated the paint. Why?

Jerebko is playing like a bum which is disappointing because he was the one who dragged us to eurobasket with his 20/6/5 average in the qualifiers. I don't know what the hell has gotten into him these last two games.
Finland are really impressive though. Their offense is killing us.

You pose a very good question and I'm not entirely sure what's going on. They were outrebounded badly by Greece yesterday too. I really don't know why, I mean, Kjellbom, Jerebko and Brice Massamba are all capable rebounders but they're simply being dominated. Jerebko is playing way too much on the perimeter for my liking and that sure doesn't help but I really don't have a clue. The effort level isn't there which shows on their offensive rebounding. You know you're in trouble when Jeffrey Taylor is your leading rebounder.

Sweden is one of the few teams I haven't caught yet. How is Ludde Hakanson doing?
