He once mentioned, on Le Batard's radio show, that he won't run with a story unless he has two independent sources that can confirm the information he's gathered.

Doesn't mean the 'Heat considering Beasley' story ultimately winds up having legs, but someone within the circle of trust fed Woj that info, which he then confirmed elsewhere, or he wouldn't have gone to print with it.

Okay and?? Who said anything of me liking or disliking Woj? Im not the defending him. Woj chose his words wisely, he may be right because how can you prove "considering" to be wrong?? Considering is a very lose definition, it could mean nothing or like some of you guys suggesting it means the Heat are negotiating lol. Beasley loved it here in Miami, and no one in the Heat organization dislike Beas as a person. And the reports are that the players or a player are talking about the idea of Beasley being a Heat again, not the organization. Yet Im sure Beasley has contacted Spo, and Im sure they had conversations. But the Heat organization will not make a move on Beas in his present situation. He has to prove his drug addiction is being managed. Remember when Beas was with the Heat, the organization itself put Beasley into drug rehab and it didnt work. They are not going to go out of their way again, until he proves it on his on.

Beasley would ruin the Heat. LBJ will literally murder him and end up in jail ruining the Heats chance for a threepeat

Beasley is horrible at basketball... thats where you're overrating him. No one is going to give him 3.5 mil, I can guarantee that too.

how can you possibly say Beasley is horrible at basketball? If he signed with the heat he'd be top 5 (In terms of talent and athleticism) on the reigning nba champion's team... People seem to forget this guy averaged a shade under 20 points per game his sophomore year. Beasley's troubles have nothing to do with his basketball skills, it's all mental, effort and off court issues...

Anyways I think this would be a great signing for the heat, every reason has already been mentioned above, thanks.

How do you think he's going to ruin the Heat. I feel players like wade Bron and ud will keep in line. There will be all this talk when we first sign him if we do. But I think he will keep his s**t straight with this team.

I've gone back and forth on Beasley, but I would be okay with giving him a chance.

Now as far as his talent Pat would love to have Beasley. Beasley would fit well next to Lebron. He is a great finisher and adds rebounding at the forward position that we lost in Mike Miller.

If the Heat were really considering Beasley, they would treat him similiar to Anderson. They would ask him to do acheive certian personal goals in regards to his addiction and if he follow thru then they may sign him mid season.

I would love if this would happen, it will mean he is trying to be serious and he really wants a spot in the team.
Please excuse my bad English, this is not my native language :)

Tim Reynolds also said how we were going to amnesty Joel and keep Miller...

Meh, I am not surprised.

We will see come October. But I wouldn't mind him back, he won't be a huge part of this team, just someone off the bench who is still young.

Also I hope people don't want him back because of some locker room presence or something, the Big 3 (especially Wade and UD) will set him straight. Many people also thought Birdman would have been bad for the locker room lol. Yeah he smokes weed and all that, Rio did too WITH him and he is still here.

I think there are better odds of Oden having a great season than of Beasley (ever) reaching his potential.

It would be funny though if Oden DID have a monster season (monster meaning 70-80% of what he was when he did play) AND Beasley managed to become a 6th man candidate. People would get mad. Again. They'd yell collusion. Again. They'll claim Beasley played like crap on purpose and Oden faked an injury, just to end up on the same team with Lebron, Wade and Bosh and rake in the titles.

Beasley is talented. He just isn't disciplined. I have the most confidence this organization is perfect for him, especially with guys like LeBron, wade, battier, ray Allen. Accountability. He could realize his potential here, under these current circumstances.

My post wasn't in response to you. If it was, I'd have quoted you.

It was simply my thoughts on Woj as a journalist, personal feelings aside, and how he deals with his sources when writing stories.

Multiple sources my ass. He's just making **** up to back up his pre-fabricated narrative.

Wojnarowski has been criticized for his use of anonymous sources in articles concerning NBA player Lebron James.[3][4] Other writers have noted an apparent bias against James in Wojnarowski's reporting.[5] For his loss of objectivity in covering Lebron James, Adrian Wojnarowski was listed #1 in Sports Media Watch's Worst of Sports Media 2010.[6]

It's a quote from wiki, so it might not mean much. What it does mean is that even non-hardcore fans have noticed he's a biased little prick.

I like LeBatard, but I can't understand how he can speak so highly of this human dejection. As far as I am concerned, Wojnarowski is just a hemorrhoid in the butt hole of the sports world.

If Lebron actually wins 8 titles, all the idiots who laughed at him (even though it was clearly said in a joking tone and aimed towards his fans, like Jordan after title number 5 showing 5 fingers, then 6, then 7 and laughing) deserve to form a long long queue and wait for Lebron to slap them in the face with his dick.

if the heat could sign Beasley for the minimum then they could be in a good situation. there are two teams in the league I believe could turn a player like Beasley around, and they are the heat and the spurs.

heck, if oden and Beasley work out to even half of their potential then the heat would be in good shape for the next few years.

that being said, Beasley is definitely a risk and since the heat would have to pay a lot in taxes to sign him I perfectly understand if they decide he is not worth the risk/reward.

It's wiki. Enough said. And yes, Woj was biased, heavy-handed and editorialized, doesn't mean he didn't have confirmed sources on his stories.

Le Batard has Woj on and constantly raves about him because, as a journalist, he understands Woj is good at what he does; breaking stories and transactions. Le Batard knows journalism.

Tim Reynolds [HEAVY CHECK MARK] @ByTimReynolds

Do some guys want Beasley here? Sure. He's a talent. Does he want to be here? Yep. But that's about all to this one.

Beasley for the minimum would be great. I'm hoping he comes home & learns from true vets.

I agree with the give him targets, then sign later that was mentioned earlier (I think it was Twix).

Having a low-risk (vet min), high reward (potential 6th man candidate if all works) is definitely something work having.
