Screw it. I'm going to do it anyway. After going back and forth to this site so many times today, and sending hundreds of reminders to people in this league that they're "up"....I think I deserve a little more analysis on my team:
PG Jrue Holiday
SG Monta Ellis
G Grievis Vasquez
G Evan Fournier
PF John Henson
SF Wes Matthews
F Brandon Rush
F Taj Gibson
C Nikola Vucevic
C Pau Gasol
BN Lance Stephenson
BN 273
BN 276
BN 278
After the last analysis, I decided to sacrifice a few of my assists and steals (bye bye Rubio) and address my FG%, boards, and blocks. I think Taj gives me enough blocks to not be completely dismal in that area, and his FG% will give me a minor bump. His FT% could be problematic, but I don't think he shoots many.
In replacing Rubio with Holiday, I think I've taken a minor hit in assists and steals (but not that many), for an increase in points, 3s, FG% (I believe holiday will shoot as well if not better than last season). I think his TOs could go down playing with a better team this year too.
I also addressed my needs by drafting two diamonds in the rough:
Brandon Rush: Here's a guy coming off an injury who looked to be the real deal at the beginning of last season. He's playing behind two unseasoned, young guys in Utah, and I fully anticipate he'll get enough minutes to produce. He can score, hit the 3 and rebound.
Lance Stephenson: He'll take a hit as a sub, but if he emerges as the 6th man, which many expect him to do, he could actually do better than last year, because he'll be leading the second unit, while also playing with the 1st unit. He'll give me fairly good points and steals, with good %s.
As for my last 3 picks, they'll likely be rotated in and out of my roster 4x a week until I find someone who will stick, or until I reach 45 adds, whichever comes first.
Note: My 8000th post. Celebrate with me
