Hearing: Sasha Vujacic working out hard in LA in hopes of relaunching NBA career. Determined to hold out for NBA instead of European return

if this is true, he'll undoubtedly make the camp, and depending on how he plays, he could even make the team again. most likely as insurnace just in case kobe doesnt return as soon as expected. I know there are many mixed feelings about him. but if he was to make the team, how would you guys feel about that?

we're desperately trying to be the first team in NBA history to have like 11 guards on opening night.

He couldn't shoot when he was a Laker.

Again rather go with the rooks than Vujacic. We need athleticism and Vujacic has absolutely no athleticism...

I love Sasha! He will always be remembered as "the guy who tore the Celtics' heart apart" with those clutch free throws.

Sasha makes more sense if we planned on contending next season, but wouldn't mind having him if somehow we found ourselves short on guards.

Thread title is misleading......he's not working out to make the Lakers roster necessarily, but to make any roster he has a chance

The fact he's working out in LA is understandable,he does have some history here

I think he even knows he doesn't have much of a chance of making the Lakers roster,I mean we do have a ton of guards/wings with guaranteed contracts and some with non guaranteed deals

Love to have him back. Would be entertaining this year. Unlike last year which was a monstrocity.

I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated Los Angeles LAKERS as NBA Champions in near future. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

I would rather develop a young player with potential.

Eh...

You could only develop so many "young players with potential" at a time...

I think there are way too many guys who you woldn't know what to expect from them once the season started that we already have or could end up on the team:

Wes Johnson (whose in his fourth year but it's still not certain whether he'll do well with us or not.)
Rob Sacre (Had some short moments last year. Never know exactly what he'll bring this year)
Ryan Kelly
Xavier Henry
Elias Harris
Marcus Landry
Shawne Williams

Still not sure how Jordan Farmar is gonna look during the season. Still has potential to do something good in the leauge but there's definetly no guarantees.

And a bunch of those guys will play behind either Kobe or Nick Young. I love young talent but too much could make things completely unstable. Sasha would add some good stability. Plus it'd be good to give the young guys with the most potential the most attention and minuetes.

With Sasha you wouldn't have to develop him. If he were on the bench and you needed him you know what you're getting... 3 and D. And during practice he'd really make everyone, including the young guys, work for their meal.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:
