Re: Redskins-Packers Postgame Thread
I don't know that they're conservative so much as they put a big point of emphasis on practicing the Thursday before a game. It all comes down to whether or not they go or if they're limited significantly a couple days from now.

Re: Redskins-Packers Postgame Thread
We definitely are conservative with injuries, especially the last few years since we've had so many and fear them lingering into the later portions of the year if not dealt with correctly. Obviously, that and practicing go hand in hand, but there is zero chance Burnett plays vs. Cincy unless the hammy is completely and totally gone with a bye coming. It's one week of rest before playing vs. three weeks of rest. It's also week 3.

I haven't read King for a couple of years, but didn't he used to know what he was talking about? Those are some jacked up rankings.

He's got Miami in the top 5, I believe. I stopped there.

Re: Redskins-Packers Postgame Thread
San Francisco can remain among the top after getting throttled by a top foe on the road. Green Bay isn't even considered among the top because they lost (almost won) on the road against a top foe.
Reasoning for having Chicago high after two miracle wins at home is that they can win an "imperfect division."
Nice work.

Packers/Miami on a neutral field? I'm very comfortable going with Miami.

They have a studly pass defense*, says Peter King.
*Note: One of the quarterbacks was Brandon Weeden.

How exactly do they operate? You aren't suggesting that the only way a guy plays on Sunday is if he's 100%, right?
Funny, I was listening to the postgame show yesterday and they were talking about keeping Burnett out next week. (McCarren said he was real close this week) Everyone said they should hold them out til after the bye, but Larry was adamant that if cleared, he will play. "You only get 16 games"

I was a fan of this part:
"2. Seattle (2-0). Thought I’d never see a division rivalry as physical as Baltimore-Pittsburgh over the last five to seven years. Seahawks and Niners: close.
It’s getting there. PK is gonna need to see just a little more physicality, though. Don’t be afraid to go out and physical it up. If a guy is in your path, you just outphysical him, unless it’s too loud to hear the physicaling."

Re: Redskins-Packers Postgame Thread
I may be damning Manziel with faint praise here, but stylistically as a college player, he has some things in common with Tim Tebow.
Oh?
Manziel can make people miss more, and he’s by any measure more accurate.
Sooooooo not at all like Tebow?
But there is one thing they definitely don’t have in common:
Unlike all the other things they don’t have in common.
Tebow’s second game against ‘Bama, in the 2009 SEC title game, was mediocre; Manziel’s second game against Alabama, after the Tide worked all offseason to be ready to stop him, was a success—despite two turnovers
So he’s a better prospect than Tebow, who was inexplicably taken in the first round. Yeah, this Johnny Whatshisface won’t be on the radar of many GMs.
