Once a player is released from a team, he goes to the Waiver Wire. People that want him can try to sign him. After the 3 day period is over, whoever tried to sign him that has the highest WW priority gets him. It doesnt tell you who all is trying to sign him, it just remains a blind mystery. The person who does end up signing him has their WW priority reset and they go to the back of the line (#14) while everyone else (that was originally after him) moves up one spot.
If no one tries to sign the player and the 3 days is up, the player just gets added to the list of eligible players to sign. If you sign him then, you dont use your WW priority (it stays the same #).
So in general, be careful. You might have a high WW priority and blow it on some chump early, then later in the season someone good gets dropped, and you end up s**t out of luck trying to get him.
