To be fair, please nobody sign Jimmy Butler when he hits waivers. Superhuman, no need to add him now on waivers as you will use up your waiver priority for an honest mistake. Wait until he clears waivers then just add him regularly, as nobody will steal him.

Oh okay. So I didn't put him on my waiver priority right? I just need to wait a few more days.

Yeah, just don't try to pick him up right now (if you did, it should show on your My Team page as a pending waiver request and you can cancel it). Keep an eye on the Players page and on 10/12 you should be able to add him without using a waiver (as long as it doesn't have the W (Oct 12) under owner you're good)

I think it does say W Oct 12 under owner. How do I undo that?

Oh it's fine that it says that now, that just means he's on waivers until 10/12. That will go away on the 12th at which time you can sign him without worrying about all of that.

Once a player is released from a team, he goes to the Waiver Wire. People that want him can try to sign him. After the 3 day period is over, whoever tried to sign him that has the highest WW priority gets him. It doesnt tell you who all is trying to sign him, it just remains a blind mystery. The person who does end up signing him has their WW priority reset and they go to the back of the line (#14) while everyone else (that was originally after him) moves up one spot.

If no one tries to sign the player and the 3 days is up, the player just gets added to the list of eligible players to sign. If you sign him then, you dont use your WW priority (it stays the same #).

So in general, be careful. You might have a high WW priority and blow it on some chump early, then later in the season someone good gets dropped, and you end up s**t out of luck trying to get him.

No i havent. I do have about all 37 episodes of Death Note BTW, just havent had the time. For now i have been watching more current Anime. I just finished the 1st seasons of Danganronpa and Watamote, and just started a couple new ones called Unbreakable Machine-Doll and Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!. Im also waiting for the 2nd season of Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko to start back up.

Oh, i also just finished a few older ones as well, Deadman Wonderland, Highschool of the Dead, and Ikkitousen.

Such noobs. even Kerrsed and Miklo.....you boys disappoint me.

Ok....

1st. I was joking at how long you guys were taking....do I really need to use green font?

2nd. @1UPZ, you do realize it's Roto and not H2H right? Meaning you don't have to beat any team on a week to week basis.

3rd. IMPORTANT: If a player does not get on the court in a game it does not count against your totals. If a player plays 1 second he counts against your games played, even if he doesn't record a stat. Expected better of Kerrsed and Miklo.

Lastly. Miklo, you are the Commish, you can override adds and drops for people's teams, so just add Jimmy Butler back on ya nuffa.

Kerrsed wrote:I dont believe so. A couple years back it was like that, but i believe Yahoo changed it last season to where is a player gets 0 minutes its not counted. Im not 100% sure on it, but damn close.

Ummmm yes your honor, I think that was the man that stabbed my wife......not exactly your most compelling argument there.

Also, I have played Yahoo! Fantasy for a good 10 years (had an older account for those sneaky enough to check my oldest season on my current profile), and I don't EVER recall games counting against your games played when a player hasn't played. In fact, many years ago, if said player played a couple of minutes and got injured without registering a stat, it didn't count against your games played. I distinctly remember this fact as a friend of mine had LMA (IIRC) and he went down early in a game with a rolled ankle, on that play he registered a TO to which he was very upset about as it counted against his games played due to the aforementioned "issue".

Hey, all i know was when i started 5 years ago i was told they counted. From that point on, i made sure to pull any and all injured/benched players from the line-ups. Last year i accidentally left one in for a few games (that happens when you set your line-up a week in advance), and saw it didnt count, so i thought they changed it.

But my answer to his question was correct, they dont count them, and i also said i wasnt 100% sure, but damn close, and that damn close was 99.9%.

In my 8 years on Yahoo fantasy I honestly always thought that if the team played a game, that player would use a game played no matter what. Could it have been like that years ago and changed without me knowing? I can be clueless sometimes but that doesn't seem like the type of rule I'd be wrong on for 8 years!
