Even his shot-blocking instincts aren't quite right, because he got started playing overseas where the goal-tending rules are different.

yea the goaltending thing is an adjustment, surprised he hasen't got more goaltending penalties, he did have a tripple double 12pts 11reb and 10blks in 28mins he dominated the USA in the 2011 Nike Hoop Summit

some players on team USA he beasted

MKG
Anthony Davis
James Michael McAdoo

for even more epicness he had 5more reb than his next highest teammate (Evan Fournier)
and he had 10 his teams 11 blocks

He'll probably lead the league in that new delay of game rule where you can't touch the ball after it goes throw the hoop.

His on court awareness is also extremely poor, didn't even see the play coming at all.

Brotherdave... I just want to go ahead and apologize. I misjudged the man a little bit. If he can continue to improve like he has this off season.

Awesome.

I know it's the preseason and I don't want to judge anything at all on these 75% performances, but god damn I like Biz right now as much as I did when we drafted him and I haven't been able to say that in a while. Go Bismack!!

Watched him catch a a 35 foot pass for an alley hoop tonight. Last season, or hell even in summer league that would not have happened. I was so down in summer league that I was ready to pronounce him as being a semi bust. Boy was I wrong. He is still a year or two or maybe three away from being the player that I thought he could be when we drafted him, which is Ben Wallace, but he is getting there.

Awesome.

No apologies necessary, old chum. I knew it would be pulling teeth with the chitty coaching staffs we've had, now with Ewing and Price and Clifford coaching him up and NBA caliber bigs in Jefferson and McRoberts to go against in practice instead of DJ White, Diop, and Mullens, he is finally resembling an NBA player. He responds well to being given minutes so I felt like a lot of his big flaws like bobbling passes would diminish with reps.

I'm still tempering my expectations for this season, next year I think will be his breakout year. He'll probably have some mini-breakouts with some stretches of meh this year thanks to adjusting to new coaches and teammates.

Hopefully MKG can turn it around. I think he will.

I think Cliffords approach of play within your strengths as helped as well.

He's now concentrating on rebounding, defence and its given him a good base to build on.
Giving him a clear role he can excel in also helps his confidence/comfort levels.

Before it always seemed to be "Biz works extremely hard at developing everything at once"
Wasn't realistic.

Y'all have no faith, I was never down on Biz. He is going to be a stud. Everyone's comparing him to other rebounding defensive bigs who can give you 10ppg, but soon people will start comparing other bigs to Biz.

I have complete faith that Biyombo will become a Tyson Chandler/Larry Sanders/Marcus Camby type player.

I think that his worse caase ceiling is Samuel Dalembert which I'm extremely happy with at pick 7.

Lol to be fair its easy to get down on a guy who couldn't catch a simple bounce pass. My son is 6 and can do that

As long as we ask him to stay within himself, we can't be all that disappointed. The fact that Clifford asked him to focus on rebounding and defense alone is a good indication of this, and since that point, Biz has positively responded. I nearly threw my phone when I saw BIz put up 21 boards against the Bucks, and another 20 against the knicks. I have high hopes for him heading into this season and I hope he continues to get better. If he could be a Larry Sanders type player in the future, I would be ecstastic (Not necessarily about the price tag though).
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

With the wingspan and athleticism he possesses, it was always disappointing that Biyombo wasn't more of a threat on the glass. Preseason is no stranger to obscure statistics, but hopefully Biyombo's rebounding will be improved this season. He won't average 10 a game, but he should focus on becoming an elite rebounder per minute. Think of what Ben Wallace was able to do despite his height limitations.

Obviously only preseason stats but he averaged 10.62 rebounds in 28.8 minutes which is a very encouraging sign.

I hope we give Biyombo at least 26 minutes a game this season, he could really be a threat off the bench if he can average 6/8/2 or something along them lines.

I have always been really high on Biyombo and he is starting to put it all together but we can't be disappointed if he doesn't set the world on fire this season.

His combination of athleticism, wingspan and shotblocking is exceptional and he could be that rare combination of a shotblocking and rebounding big in the modern era, I say rare because it seems these days that the rebounders aren't great shotblockers and the shotblockers aren't great rebounders.

People have given the Biz pick some heat over the last few seasons but the real bust of the top ten is Vesely and as projects Biz>Jan.

My biggest nightmare would be that Biz has his breakout year in the fourth year of his rookie contract and we have to give him 10m+ which would be major coin for a guy we've invested so much in already.
