Upping both their minutes means the Lakers playing a more traditional lineup. It would all be easier if Kaman and Hill could consistently hit 15-18 foot jumpers like Kurt Thomas. In that scenario, D'Antoni is more willing to play two bigs together. He just doesn't like having two bigs who both have to play near the basket.

Gasol doesn't play near the basket. He lounges on the perimeter unless he's guarded by a smaller guy and in that case it's simple. You would post Gasol while running the P and R on the other side of the floor.

Hill doesn't have to shoot. It's the same exact thing as last year's Gasol-Howard offense which worked at the end of the year. Pau would love to have Jordan next to him on defense.

I hope we can just cut out Williams from the 4/5 position entirely and just play Gasol/Hill/Kaman interchangeably in the 2 positions. I know its still early in the season, but a 3 point specialist shooting 25% is terrible. He didn't even shoot well in pre-season, something like 33% I believe.

I'm cool with Dantoni's rotations so far except for this. When you got two 7 footers that plays well together you gotta take advantage of that. We need more Gasol/Kaman combo.

dantoni in a tough situation but its also nice to know you have guys that can play. things can easily change when someone gets injured as always.

Nope, but over trying to start Kaman and Hill, I would look that way when Kobe returns. You see what Kobe did for Earl, he can do that for Wes, and Wes can keep the floor open like Shawne. Just let Kaman backup Wes at 4 and let. Hill backup Pau at 4.

The thing is Dantoni can't force Farmar, Nick, or Meeks out for his Blake hard on, let long Henry. When Kobe returns I think he will force one of them out the rotation when its. Blake and Williams who both need to be cut from it

D'antoni's offense needs spacing and ideally the 4 has to be a 3pt shooter but so far Williams hasn't been hitting jack. I wish we can emulate Grizzlies frontcourt and having Pau/Kaman together as they are both similar to Marc/Zbo's offensive skillset.

I think eventually you'll see Kaman & Pau starting together once Mike decides on the rotation.

I don't see what MDA's problem is, Pau and Kaman in the starting line up and Hill the back up, then rotate.

Pau's comfort zone is within the freethrow arc... The only aspect of his game beyond passing that still has any legs is in the post. Either we pull our head out and get him in his comfort zone, or we get rid of him. Pau setting up at the top of the key or the 3pt line is just nonsense.

Let him finish his career in a Duncan-like role for us and stop messing with his legacy.

Do you guys think MDA still says things like "When Nash get's healthy, we'll be fine?"  :banghead:

It is simple... There are 96 minutes at the PF & C positions... Pau gets 36, Kaman gets 32 & Hill gets 28... Kaman & Hill look good and are active...

Pau 28, Kaman 24, Wes 20, and Hill 16 ... with 8 minutes to throw at Shawne or between them all depending on who plays best none of them are over 30 minute a night guys right now and all 4 of them have played well at the 4/5. I would give Hill two hard 8 minute runs to start the second and fourth

SF is a 28/20 split with X and Nick.

Kobe at SG gets 33 as he's the only guy who should play 30 minutes a night. Meeks or Blake 15 minutes, right now Meeks easily, but still its one or the other

Pg split is a 20-28 for Nash and Farmar. If he's going to start let him start the first and 3 and play 10 minutes or so each half. Let Farmar close.

No, now he just says when Kobe gets healthy, they'll be fine.

Pau's days as a 36 mpg player are behind him, While Kobe is still out. I would like to see something more along the lines of the following:

Nash (20) / Farmar (28) / Blake (depth, get Nash's minutes when he is injured or sitting for rest)
Meeks (24) / Young (24) / Blake (depth)
Henry (28) / Johnson (16) / Young (4)
Kaman (24) / Johnson (12) / Hill (12) / Williams (depth)
Gasol (28) / Hill (16) / Kaman (4)

Once Kobe returns I would like to see:

Nash (20) / Farmar (28) / Blake (depth, get Nash's minutes when he is injured or sitting for rest)
Bryant (30) / Meeks (18) / Blake (depth)
Henry (24) / Young (24)
Kaman (18) / Johnson (24) / Hill (6) / Williams (depth)
Gasol (24) / Hill (18) / Kaman (6)

can't blame him, he's been really productive with his limited minutes. Williams just needs to be kicked out of the lineup altogether.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
