Very insightful post. Those emoticons should be used to laugh at your counter argument, or lack thereof.

please enlighten me how MDA refused to adapt for dwight when:
1. dwight howard was the best pick and roll big man in the league but refused to run it
2. dwight howard wanted to post up even though kobe was way better and as a result dwight had the 2nd most post touches in the NBA.

The bottom line is, Dwight did not want to play the PnR. He wanted to be showcased just like he was in Orlando.

Wow, you're on a roll! Another terrible response!
With that I wish you a great rest of the night. Don't have the patience to argue with people who chose to ignore the argument by being sarcastic and condescending instead.

what? He was playing the PnR in Orlando, and it was one of the reasons why he hated Stan Van Gundy while being there. You can't them blame D'Antoni for not wanting to acquiesce to Dwight wanting more posts ups when he's absolutely horrendous at it while being the best PnR big in the league. The idiot here is Dwight as been shown over and over. It's a good thing MDA didn't follow with what Dwight wanted or we would have had an even worse year last year.

Michael Lucky wrote:they still ran a PnR system surrounded by three point shooters. They simply didn't run it at an uptempo pace like McHale and MDA.

I'm not denying that and never did. But I'm still waiting for you to support what you said about Dwight hating Stan Van Gundy because of his system.

That's a strange nuance to focus on... It's clear he hated him enough to try to get him fired... If not for his system, then why? Before you answer that, consider what that answer says about Dwight...
He said he hated MDA's system... And playing with Kobe.
AI wrote:Only focusing on it because I've never heard that rationale used before. The SVG system highlighted Dwight and made him the focus of attention (which he sure does love, huh?). During his last years with Orlando I knew he had a falling out with SVG but I am pretty confident it was not due to the system he implemented.
