Because Harden broke the play on that possession by not doing what he was supposed to do. Not Lin's fault. And Harden got the chance to make a play on the last 2 possessions and failed both times. Not Lin's fault.
Howard was supposed to switch, Lin was screened off. Not Lin's fault.
Harden and Howard screwed up and instead of taking responsibility for it, they're shifting the blame onto Lin. It's immature and stupid, and that's why people are criticizing them. Lin was making the right basketball plays, while Harden and Howard were not. It's sad that you think it's ok for them to get away with it, just because they're the stars, and that the role player that's doing his job should take the blame for their mistakes.

Yeah, but without LeBron James impact. He was a revolving door on defense, got away with plays that should have been fouls anyway, and he broke the offense by either not doing what he was supposed to do, or by ballhogging and freezing out teammates. You have to look beyond the numbers sometimes.
