at what? overall career? shooter? overall player? making well know clutch shots?
miller obviously gets a major plus for playing at a fairly high level for a long time. he also gets a plus for being a consistently good 3pt shooter, one of the best of his era.
that being said, curry is playing at a level right now that i dont think miller ever reached. curry can also impact a game in more ways than miller. miller was only good at two things - catch and shoot jumpers and straight line drives to the rim (drawing fouls, hitting fts at a high rate). curry does both of those things but is a much better shooter off the dribble, much better inbetween game and much better passer. both are about equal as defenders.
i will admit that i do believe miller is one of the most overrated players of his generation. he gets a better reputation based on longevity, a few very well known baskets in the playoffs vs the media capital of the world, and continuing to stay in the NBA limelight long after his career is over.
miller was never in the discussion for being the best shooting guard in the league, never in discussion for 2nd best and rarely in the discussion for 3rd best. you had jordan, then guys like drexler, dumars, richmond were almost always considered better. and by the time he was later in his career, the shooting guard peak happened when kobe, ray allen, tmac, iverson and vince carter were better. then you even had a few flash in the pan peaks that were as good or better than miller at the time such as - sprewell, houston, redd.
so yeah, i'll take curry and pray for his ankles.

I'll admit that Reggie Miller is my favorite player of all time, but only a Miller hater would say that Mitch Richmond, Latrell Sprewell, Allan Houston and Michael Redd were even in Reggie's stratosphere.

I hesitate to call a career sub-40% guy a shooter.
