Come on like they would honestly take Amare? Shump? for Rondo?
Unless Rondo pulled a Melo and said he only wanted to go to NYK, but idk his contract status.
all in all its a pipedream
Its a harsh reality but the only players we could honestly move would be THjr Shump and Chandler and I doubt it could even get us someone who is better.
smh
But you are missing a key point -- in order for the Celtic's to really hit the reset button they need a team that is willing to take on their long-term bad contracts -- which Houston really isn't positioned to do because in a Rondo deal they would be paying Harden/Howard/Rondo already.
Plus if Boston doesn't move guys like Wallace/Lee/Bass/Humphries --- they could win just enough games to fall out of top 5 draft slot where potential stars will be sitting in next years draft.
Boston needs a team that will take on those bad contracts freeing up their future while also allowing them to tank this season for highest % shot at Wiggins/Parker/Randle types in draft.
I see a 4 team trade involvings Knicks/Boston/Houston and 1 other team to make things work cap wise.
I also see us losing either Chandler or Bargs in the deal.
