It is not about Mills and Dolan it is about going to battle with Melo against the Heat. Has nothing to do with the front office. IMO
So you are saying Rondo wants to go to the place that gives him the best chance to win? There are a lot of places other the NY that debate that claim.
Who is offering to trade for him and gives him the best chance to win? Houston maybe but Asik and Lin and late round draft picks don't really help Boston tank? It helps Boston because a treadmill team. I haven't seen any other teams attached to Rondo's name.
Because dude is hurt and coming off a major injury. I really doubt the Celtics, Rondo or any contending teams are looking at deals right now. It just doesnt make sense for any normal team.
The Knicks are interested only because they are extremely desperate. Except they don't even have enough to pay 25cents to the dollar for Rondo. The cupboard is bare and the Celtics know the same offer they can get from the Knicks today is no worse then the offer they will get from the Knicks in Feb '15 so its pointless for them to make a deal right now.
So even if Rondo wants to come to NY, it ain't happening for at least a year. Even the slim chance that Rondo wants to go to NY and nowhere else, it'll be like the Melo deal and drag on and on and on until the last month or 2.
