You're clearly a huge Lin fan that's cool but I think you're just focusing way too much on the media's perception of Lin, over scrutinizing every single move the coaches do in regards to Lin, etc. Where is the thread about Parsons getting subbed out in the 2nd half instead of TJones, Asik not getting his minutes, etc. etc. I'm much much more concerned about how well McHale will be able to handle the egos of Harden/Howard in the long run than any concerns about Lin being on a "short leash."

You can have your opinion... but you should look into respecting what others believe/see as well. It's not just happenstance that many people feel this way. Look at the general board's posts and you will see many posters have expressed similar concern over McHale + Harden's "treatment" of Lin.
BaYBaller wrote:Like I said, Lin gets an inordinate amount of attention due to his large fanbase. I don't really care about the opinion's of the general board and rarely post there. It has zero effect on the team.
Look, there are threads made about Harden ignoring Lin on a play or Lin being yelled... I mean come on... have any of these people ever played in a highly competitive environment? Those things happen, and you brush it off stay positive and keep working hard. I do realize that a lot of these ridiculous threads are posted by a vocal minority, but that doesn't mean you have to pay attention to it. Lin has a great attitude and is handling himself quite well in my opinion.

Hayden, note that the "conspiracy theory" that is being referenced could perhaps better be phrased as "allegations that McHale is trying to submarine Jeremy Lin's career", then note that he's dismissing that notion, perhaps on the basis of silly things like "his minutes are up from last year" or "his usage is also up from last year", then note that he was never anti-Lin, but rather anti-Lin-fanbase's-media-perception.
Can we please lock this thread and replace it with one that just makes fun of Harden's defense using photoshopped gifs before I accidentally start scrubbing my face with a cheese grater?
